Music is Medicine: What’s your Story?
Anybody who suffers from “winter blues” or crazy allergies in the fall knows that sometimes things are just too much to handle alone. Especially us cats in the northeast. We didn’t even have autumn this year. It went from summer to winter like nothing. With that being said, it seems like we had the holidays early. Music galore. Find a girl for cuff season and trying to set that mood? Download Trey Songz “Anticipation 2.” Trying to stay in shape through the winter and need to get motivated? Buy Wale’s “Ambition.” Had enough for the day and trying to just vibe out and listen to some deep shit? Buy J. Cole’s “Cole World: Sideline Story.” Shit, even Tyrese put an album out. There is music for all situations and proves my theory that music is medicine and therapeutic.
Looking Back: Most Memorable Moments Involving Hip Hop in my Life
Ever since I started writing for KillerHipHop I’ve come to notice quite a few things about our readers. All positive qualities that makes doing this job so fun. For one, all the comments I receive or any of us receive on our posts are very passionate. Shows that not only do we have a strong fan base, but a caring one also. Also, points that are made are usually backed up with their point of view and shows how knowledgeable they are. Finally, I’m a huge fan of the debates you all have between each other. It’s awesome to read, and to see that I’m not the only person who loves to argue and debate for entertainment.
With that being said, I started to think back to when my first time was that I was comfortable enough to argue my points. What got me into hip hop, and what was it that took it to the next level that hip hop became a passion of mine? Battle of the Debuts: Thank Me Later vs. Cole World: Sideline Story
Merry belated Cole World everyone. The day we’ve all been waiting for has finally come and we now have the answers we’ve been looking for in two simple words. Cole World.
J. Cole’s debut album has finally dropped and whether you listened to the leak, or stayed faithful like most true hip hop fans and I, I hope you all bought the album. Then there’s those select few who actually got to go to the listening party that I’m very jealous of (Shout out to @DJEricKidd.)

Hold up. 1 ugly song from your upcoming album leaks, and you’re mad? You should be mad you ever breathed on that Cataracs beat, but whatever. Then, you threaten Dr. Dre to leak a song from Detox that you’re featured on? 50 you’re killin’ me.
Do you think Dr. Dre cares for that song? Better yet, do you think the fans care? You’re psycho. Fiddy you haven’t cracked the Top 10 since 2007 when the JT assisted Ayo Technology crawled to #5 on the charts (“Down On Me” is Jeremih’s track). But, what’s really killin’ me is that Interscope might never let your album reach store shelves. Remember when you kicked Young Buck out of G-Unit; but you wouldn’t release him from his contract and wouldn’t release any of his music under G-Unit Records either. Now Interscope won’t release your album. Karma is beautiful.

I won’t lie; 2 months ago I would’ve wrote about Lil B’s toddler-like rhyme schemes. Then I’m Gay suddenly dropped. And I can’t let the week go by without acknowledging B’s genius.
