KillerHipHop.com is a video blog which provides hip hop news, videos and lyrics daily. I am an 80’s baby (born 84) and grew up on a staple diet of Hip Hop. I am a second generation hip hop fan. I respect the originators but I was born when hip hop started going mainstream. I started listening to Wu Tang, Snoop, Bone Thugs, Canibus, Chino XL, Jay-Z, Em, DMX, Nas, Pac and BIG. Of course there are too many to mention.

This site started in early 2009 as a new kind of hip hop video blog providing the latest videos, music and lyrics that I like. I’m not trying to cover every possible hip hop song that is released as that would be impossible. I select and post what I like! If you feel that I’m sleeping on someone hit me up on twitter and facebook and I’ll take a listen.

I am huge fan of some big hip hop sites such hiphopdx.com and allhiphop.com. This blog is standing on the shoulder of giants such as Nahright, Miss Info and 2Dopeboyz. I’m grateful to the the many sites that paved the way for Killerhiphop. Where possible I credit and link to all my sources. Likewise I would expect you to do the same. I transcribe brand new lyrics for the benefit of hip hop fans so they can better understand the music. I have immense respect for the artists and song writers who spill their brains out on paper and express themselves in a creative way for our enjoyment. I would appreciate a link back if you use lyrics that I spent time to transcribe.

Whats with the Name?

KillerHiphop.com is about providing killer news, killer video’s and killer music.

Hip Hop bloggers sometimes get a bad rep but understand that bloggers are regular fans who just express their opinion through the medium of the internet. They are no different to people talking in the playgrounds and streets across the World. I have no editorial guidelines so I say what I think as a fan of the music.

Artists put themselves out there to gain big rewards and therefore expect some criticism along the the way.

Feel free to leave your opinions in the comments. We would love to hear what fellow fans think of the artists as well. Please keep it clean as there are enough Internet gangsters out there. Racist and generally hateful comments will not get approved despite many that tried.

Many thanks for all the emails and comments you send my way. I appreciate all the music you send me. Please understand that I am inundated with so many emails everyday and I cant listen to and publish everything on the site. However I have heard of lot of talented people.
