Video: VH1 Presents “This Is Hot 97″
Ask anyone who grew up in NYC in the 90s and beyond, “What is Hot 97?” and chances are, they’ll instantly respond with “hip hop and R&B.” For a radio station to practically make its brand synonymous with the genres that it dutifully propagates is pretty profound; now, for that staple of a media outlet to have its internal operations televised is no surprise.
