2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher Lineup Announced
The 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards will air next Tuesday October 9th at 8/7c. The cyphers always manage to get people out of their seats. In recent years we’ve had memorable cyphers from G.O.O.D. Music and Shady 2.0. Hopefully this year is no different. The lineup for the cypher was recently announced. A$AP Rocky, Childish Gambino, Hopsin, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, and Xzibit will all participate in the cyphers this year. See the full lineup after the jump.

News: BET Bans Rick Ross’ “Hold Me Back” Music Video
BET is holding back Rick Ross’ “Hold Me Back” music video. Director Taj tweeted about the ban late last night.
“So BET rejected Ross’ “Hold Me Back” video. It’s incredibly sad, because the video is incredibly special & real. You’re killing US BET. Smh,” he tweeted. “Everybody ask BET why it’s ok for them to play “Boyz N the Hood”, “Menace to Society”, and “South Central”, but not Ross’ video. RT RT RT What does BET stand for? You should have two answers for that question,” he continued.
The “Hold Me Back” music video was shot in New Orleans’ Calio Projects. BET was supposed to debut the video a few days ago. Reasons for their rejection are unknown. Watch behind the scenes footage of the “Hold Me Back” video shoot here.
BET isn’t scared to pull the plug on music videos. If you remember, they also refused to play Nicki Minaj’s “Stupid Hoe” music video.

Nas And Eddie Murphy Appear On 106 & Park
Nas and the legendary Eddie Murphy appeared on BET’s 106 & Park to promote their new movie Tower Heist.
Nas did a track for the soundtrack with Rick Rozay called “Its a Tower Heist” and speaks about how it came about.
After the jump Eddie Murphy speaks on a potential Beverly Hills cop TV show and doing stand up again.

The Shady 2.0 BET Awards cypher is probably the most anticipated cypher. For a good reason too. But for now, 5 seconds of Joe Budden spitting will have to do until the show airs October 11 at 8 PM.

Ludacris Named 10th Hottest MC 2010!
Ludacris was named the 10th Hottest MC 2010 according to MTV! This was the first time Luda has been named in the list.
Luda was tenth ahead of Banks, Fabolous, Bun B, Gucci and Wiz Khalifa who didn’t make the top 10. This was due to the success of Luda’s album “Battle of the Sexes”, his verse on Justin Beiber’s “Baby” and his business partnership with Conjure.
