Jammer & Discarda Interview at Roll Deep's Boxpark Party

KillerHipHop's Amanda Star caught up with Jammer and Discarda on the Boxpark rooftop in East London. They were there to celebrate the release of Roll Deep's mixtape No Comment Star, and had just come off stage. The interview was filmed by KillerHipHopTV as an exclusive.

Up on the roof

Asked about the performance, the pair call it decent and say they liked the setting: up on the roof with the sky, the music and a drink in hand, it felt like a good vibe.

The conversation soon turns to the race everyone had just watched. One of the pair had backed Blake rather than Usain Bolt, tempted by odds of 25 to one, and ends up admitting he was being greedy. The ribbing that follows, including the nickname "MC Greedy", gives the clip a lot of its charm.

"Bang Your Head Off The Wall"

On the music side, the pair have a tune together, "Bang Your Head Off The Wall". They say it had already been getting played and that they planned to shoot the video in the next few weeks, then release it when Jammer was ready.

Jammer uses the moment to big up his collaborator. He says Discarda has been in the grime scene for as long as he can remember and that his lyrics are still massive. He wants to work on a few projects together so that more people recognise him, saying Discarda should be at the forefront, and he mentions a possible mixtape the following year.

Jammer signs off with a shout-out to everyone tuning in to KillerHipHop.
