J2k Interview With KillerHipHop (Roll Deep 'No Comment Star' Launch Party) (video thumbnail)

At the launch party for Roll Deep's mixtape No Comment Star at Boxpark in East London, J2K from Roll Deep stopped to talk to KillerHipHop's Amanda Star. The interview was filmed by KillerHipHopTV as an exclusive and runs for about three and a half minutes.

A party for East London

J2K explains that the crew had been holding a few small events around East London, where they are from, to celebrate the release of the new mixtape. In his words, this one was a good excuse for a party with good people from the area.

He enjoyed the setting. Performing at Boxpark felt different from the usual night inside a club, and the good weather helped, with plenty of people out in shorts. He jokes that his own pair were homemade.

Asked which song had the best vibe, he picks one that went down especially well with the crowd, while pointing out that he isn't actually on that track himself. He was happy to watch that one.

New music and Crep Protect

J2K also talks about what's next. He had a warm-up single already getting played on the radio, with a main single to follow, and he says he had been working on his album, with most of his time spent in the studio. There were no release dates yet, though he expected to have one soon.

He uses the chance to plug a new venture too: Crep Protect, a shoe-protection spray he was launching. He is not shy about it either, calling it the best thing on the planet.

Bolt or Blake?

Like everyone else interviewed that evening, J2K is asked about Usain Bolt's race. He says he knew Bolt would win, that Blake is good but not ready to beat him yet, and that he was confident in his call. He finishes with a shout-out to KillerHipHop.
