Lil B Says “I’m Gay” Is As Good As 2Pac and Biggie Classics?

July 6, 2011 · Posted in news · 20 Comments

In a recent interview with Vibe Lil B The Basedgod claimed that his latest album “I’m Gay” is one of the greatest albums ever, comparing it to the classics of Pac and B.I.G.

“I’m Gay is going to be one of the most classic albums to ever touch down in hiphop. Once you hear the music and see the measures I’m going through for the people, it’ll be one of the Tupacs, the Biggie Smalls, the Lil Waynes, the DMXs, the Black Robs, the Beanie Sigels, the Jay-Zs, the Commons, the Kanye Wests, The Lupe Fiascos. It’s just goin’ to be real hard, the real love, the real struggle, the real pain. It’s goin’ to be somethin’ that uplifts people. Let me be the human sacrifice for the people. If I got to be the person that helps the world get better, let that be. If I gota go through pain so the next generation can be free and happy…let that be.”

Just yesterday I praised Lil B for his courage on I’m Gay. But I’m not to sure about these statements. The only thing that prevents I’m Gay from being in the same shelve as 2pacalypse now and Ready To Die is its lyricism. What do you guys think? Is Lil B’s I’m Gay a classic album?

You have got to be kidding me. Lil B is fake as shit. You can’t even mention him in a sentence with BIG and Pac. I’ve heard his music and it is all trash.

Kill yourself nigga, This nigga is taking E’s, I bet Eminem in his whole career never said he was going to make an album likeREADY TO DIE or LIFE AFTER DEATH or Tupacs… Stop lying to yourself, I mean, even the title is bad as fck to start and i doubt Tupac or Biggie would name an album like that, be serious please.

I feel like no matter what the comparison is, people will never allow anyone to think they’re better than B.I.G. Or Pac, you guys need to be more open minded on stuff like that, it’s the same with Michael Jordan and basketball. Now I’m not saying that Lil B even touched Biggie or Pacs level, cause that sure as hell ain’t true, just saying stay open minded.

Real shit! I understand respect but damn BIG nd package are not hands down day best forever. Nd day same wit Michael.

i so hate it when an artist self proclaims his own shit.LET THE LISTENERS/ FANS BE THE JUDGE OF THAT!!!

With a true classic, the artist doesnt say its gonna be a classic. They put it out and th fans decide that its a classic. I respect Lil B’s whole movement but gtfo with the classic shit. C’mon son. Lyrically you r wackk as helll

seriously, this music is completely different compared to what the ‘regular’ hip hop is. Comparing to Waka Flocka Flame? You are fucking stupid, this album is simply incredible, completely different to what he made before. Seriously, give it a try and you will hear his statement is pretty true. He does this shit completely different compared to any rapper, only because of that you should give it a try

    Oblivion God Reply:

@white hipster, J. Cole is the best rapper in the game, Lil B can not touch his music at all. You also can’t say Lil B’s album is a Classic, the album is complete garbage. I am surprised Lil B isn’t killed yet for being so retarded =/

Next time you mention Pac Biggie n Jay Z dnt forget Weezy baby !!!!
DAMN nice ppl acknowledge that lil wayne is a living legend…

I dnt like lil B’s music cuz i simply cnt listen to more than one track but I respect the man, he believes in what he is doing ….
he is a lunatic in a good way because he’s also very grounded and that’s hard to find…
Respect to the homie eventhough i cnt listen to him…

first rule in the game never compare yourself to Tupac n Biggie.
Tupac n Biggie are a whole new level that few rappers touched it.
Tupac n Biggie are realest in history
