Jordan London – The Motto Freestyle (KillerHipHop Exclusive)
· By Killerhiphop.com
Jordan London drops some bars over Drake's "The Motto" in this freestyle, recorded for KillerHipHop. The video was filmed by KillerHipHopTV as an exclusive and first shared on our YouTube channel in February 2012.
Bars over "The Motto"
The idea is simple. Jordan London, who also goes by JL, takes the instrumental from Drake's "The Motto" and raps over it for a little under three and a half minutes. There's no big production around it: the focus is on the MC and the beat.
Freestyles over well-known beats are a straightforward way to hear an artist's flow, delivery and wordplay, because listeners can judge the bars against a track they already recognise. Rather than paraphrase his verses here, we'd rather you hear them as he performed them, so press play above and listen to the whole thing.
Part of the KillerHipHopTV originals
This clip sits in our collection of KillerHipHopTV originals: videos filmed by us, rather than embedded from other channels. Alongside our sit-down interviews, freestyles like this one show a different side of the artists we have worked with over the years.
