Soulja Soulja Soulja..I don’t know whether to feel sorry for you or not. Your career is slowly slipping away. Teenagers are now becoming adults. I can understand switching your style up to stay relevant, but I’m not feeling this hair.

First, you started swagin’ with your homie Lil B trying to share his spotlight. Swag. As time went on, you wanted to be more and more like Basedgod. Swag. You started cookin’ and your lyrics started degrading to “hoes on yo’ dick”. Swag. You found some success in Pretty Boy Swag but not really. Woop. At this point you might have realized that you will never duplicate the success of Crank That. Woop.

So then, you switched your style up again. You started rapping about weed with a laid back flow over smooth beats. Wiz Khalifa *cough*. I saw you trying to skate in your videos trying to adopt the skater look like Mac Miller. But you were just trying to appeal to High Schoolers around the country that had once bought your discs as Middle Schoolers. And that didn’t really work. Did any of you guys download the 1Up Mixtape? I didn’t think so.

After that came the somewhat infamous Juice mixtape. Juice. You cut your hair trying to look like Tupac. Juice. But of course their is no way that you’ll ever even attempt to duplicate Tupac’s music. Juice. It’s not because your Soulja Boy, it’s because your not ‘Pac. Simple as that. Reading between the lines you were just trying to stay relevant by stirring up controversy. Juice. That sort of worked, as you saw a little success in Zan With That Lean. But, nevertheless you were trying to look like someone you were not. Tupac in Juice.

Then on June 21, 2011 you decide to share your new look with the world. A blond super super saiyan. Let’s see here Rappers that have dyed their hair: Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa (that stripe counts), and Tyga. And surprise surprise, every one of those rappers is relevant. Once again Soulja. Why are you trying to be like someone else?

I can understand you trying to stay relevant but why must you do it on the backs of someone else. Homie, build your own lane and go pedal to the metal.

Soulja Boy you’re killin’ me.

Yo and dye your hair back, that color looks horrible on you. Swag.

Not saying I don’t agree with some of your points, but your hating pretty hard. Dude is on his grind. He was on the forbes list. No matter what way he goes with his music he is successful. Relax a little.

Haha, is KillerHipHop trying to make another version of 2DBZ’s Random Acts of Fuckery?! Whatevs, I like it.

Anyways, the writer here hits spot on and if you can’t understand that, GTFO! When was the last time that Soulja Boi had a LASTING hit single? A greatly accepted album? A platinum or hell even GOLD record? The fact of the matter is that Soulja Boy is rapidly losing his fan base (which are growing by the minute, everyone around me that used to bump him hates him now), he’s jumping on fads that have no substance or longevity in the first place, and he has no idea how to handle his career. If he tried to improve his lyricism, nobody would listen because of the first impression he gave and the fact that the mainstream doesn’t welcome lyrics nowadays.

And I also think that the rumors with him signing to YM are just a last ditch effort to get his fame back. That won’t work, I’m afraid.

In conclusion, try to envision Soulja Boy in the mainstream in 5 years. Does it even remotely seem probable or possible for that matter? No. In fact, if Soulja Boy doesn’t try to get the mainstream appeal back soon, he may fully fade in less than a year! That’s all I have to say. Take it as you want it, but I’m actually glad his “era” is going away. With Shady Records, Roc Nation, Good, and lyricism in general seemingly taking back over the game, you have to ask yourself…does Soulja Boy really show the signs of surviving?

(And to the person that mentioned that he has “money”, I doubt that he’s invested or saved any of that moola. So in about 6 years, he’ll be driving down the same roads that Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer have taken.)

so I read this ‘You Killin’ Me: Soulja Boy’ & the ‘You Killin’ Me: Lil Wayne’ and both make soo much sense. once Soulja boy made that song ‘Pretty Boy Swag’ I gave up on him. I want that 16-17 year old Soulja boy back. The one who sounds like an ameatur.. & Honestly, this hair man, sucks. All I have to say.. & If you don’t like the post.. GTFO. if you think it was a waste of your time GTFO & don’t comment.. Keep up the good work @killerhiphop

I Like Soulja Boy.. His music has been slippin’ lately though.. to me at least. But one thing i don’t do is hate on someone thats just trying to make money. In his little youtube spats with Ice-t he said that instead of all these older cats talking down on him they should try the other approach and give him advice.. help him mold into a better rapper.. that all he was trying to do was provide for his family and get them a better life. And i’m not gonna hate on someone trying to provide for his family and just make music. anyways, Big ups KillerHipHop. i check the site daily.

And I swear if they put out a remake to ‘Juice’ and let Soulja Boy play ‘Bishop’.. Ima get a list of the people workin on that movie & personaly goin house to house kickin each one of them in their fuckin skulls… Jus sayin

If you are actually a soulja boy fan you know he’s not goin no where, and he’s getting serious paper and his music sells. So just ignore these people who are mad because the music industry dont play their rappers so them and their rappers are hungry. Listen to Soulja Boy New mixtape Bernard Arnault !!! And look up who that is the owner of Louis vuitton. A billion is endorsing soulja boy lol.

    This is on point.

It’s not hard to trace back to where souljaboy swaggerjacked everything he does from.

Like this new “movement” he has started(trying to start).

OCEAN GANG (LOL) = Taylor Gang.
He even says “Ocean gang or drown”.

And in one song I heard, he even copied Rick Ross’s signature “HUH”.
