You’re Killin’ Me: Game – Uncle Otis
Game, are you noodle cock-a-doodle, are you crazy, crazy, crazy, did you knock a couple screws loose? Boii, Uncle Otis is a horrible track; it is dumb, unoriginal, and full of jealousy. It only attacks people who are hot at the moment. Before I get any deeper, I want to state that I am (was) a big Game fan. I used to bump “How We Do” all day, same thing goes for L.A.X. But, the name dropping on every song is extremely annoying. Uncle Otis just sank the sinking boat. I don’t even know if I want to hear The RED Album anymore. Game claims that “Uncle Otis” is just a “fun” song, but I’m not buying it, there were some real stuff said. Let’s dooo it.
Uncle Otis is one of the dumbest tracks I’ve heard in a while. Game is too good of a rapper to make a track dissing half the industry to gain some buzz. How about you drop a hot mixtape? I’m tired of this name dropping crap, and I’m sure his fans are tired as well. Is Game related to Katt Williams? Why is he making funny tracks? He has no business in comedy. Besides I thought gangster’s don’t joke around? dumb.
Originality is another dilemma with “Uncle Otis”. Ice Cube and 50 Cent made similar tracks to this one back in the day. Game should be embarrassed that he copied 50 Cent. In addition, Game lacks originality in that he is always talking about what other rappers are doing. Name dropping on every track might be one reason that Interscope has delayed The RED Album so much. Oh and trying to be original with a red mohawk doesn’t count.
When I first listened to Uncle Otis, and heard him mention Big Sean I immediately knew Game was jealous. You’re really going to “hate” on the hottest rapper right now? Once again, Game is trying to steal some buzz from all the buzzing rappers right now: Kanye & Jay, Big Sean, Kreayshawn, and Tyler, The Creator. Game is also trying to pit friends against each other with lines like, “Yo ‘Ye, this n*gga aint even wanna put you on”, meaning that Jay Z never even liked Kanye. What’s the point of saying that? Game is clearly jealous. He’s also not playing like he claims, that’s a straight diss!
If Uncle Otis was meant to get people talking about Game, mission accomplished. The problem is that a lot of the response has been negative, I’m sure 75% of his fans want Game to stop dropping names. Game needs to get in the studio and make a hit record, go ahead and call Khaled.
Game, You’re Killin’ Me!
ps. I had another You’re Killin’ Me ready to go, but I immediately had to throw that one away and do this one. You don’t diss Big Sean and don’t get a YKM headed your way. boii.
