    All of Kanye’s albums debuted at number one except for The College Dropout. I love it!

    question: does the number also count itunes sells or just physical copy sells?

    @shade,
    Don’t quote me, but I’m pretty sure if you download a certain percentage of the album (via itunes, amazon, etc.), it counts toward album sales. And the way Jay and Kanye set it up, they had people pre-order the entire album.

    @LMH, The Album Was Only Sold On iTunes & Best Buy And Other Online Stores. Not In Stores. Other Then Best Buy So i Bet The Majority Was Digital.

    That’s it. Only 426,000 somethin copies 1st week. I was easily expecting gold status 1st week. Kanye’s last album My beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy sold 495,000 1st week. I guess a lot of people listened for free but didn’t go to itunes or the store to buy a physical copy.

    @Royal Swagness, That’s pretty good considering they released a music video for their single after the album was released. It also had alot less promotion. So they sold alot based on just hype alone.

    @Avantiel, Are You Serious?. WTT Had MAD Promotion. They Had Ads For It On Almost EVERY Hip Hop Music Website. The Hype For This Album Was Just More Than What Was Produces. I Expected More.
