Video: NY Senator Demands Apology From Lil’ Wayne For “I Don’t Like NY” Comment
Lil Wayne recently told MTV that he didn’t like New York. “Flat out, I don’t like New York,” he said. Many people would consider it a fair statement being that he’s been arrested twice in the city and he also spent 8 months at Rikers.
New York State Senator Malcolm A. Smith (D – St. Albans) is now asking Lil Wayne for an apology. Sen. Smith claims to be offended by Lil Wayne’s comments. “He has also insulted the memory of Frank Sinatra and he’s also insulted Jay-Z,” said the Senator during a press conference.
But he says that New Yorkers are forgiving people and that they’re willing to forgive Wayne if he gives them a sincere apology.
