Video: NY Senator Demands Apology From Lil’ Wayne For “I Don’t Like NY” Comment

August 23, 2012 · Posted in beef, Videos · 22 Comments

Lil Wayne recently told MTV that he didn’t like New York. “Flat out, I don’t like New York,” he said. Many people would consider it a fair statement being that he’s been arrested twice in the city and he also spent 8 months at Rikers.

New York State Senator Malcolm A. Smith (D – St. Albans) is now asking Lil Wayne for an apology. Sen. Smith claims to be offended by Lil Wayne’s comments. “He has also insulted the memory of Frank Sinatra and he’s also insulted Jay-Z,” said the Senator during a press conference.

But he says that New Yorkers are forgiving people and that they’re willing to forgive Wayne if he gives them a sincere apology.

Alot of dudes commenting here are not getting the big picture here….They can both have different opinions on this. But Wayne fucked it up, his dumbass gonna lose alot of fans especially when New York has a large hip hop fan base, which I can say that most liked Wayne, but when you go on national tv like MTV and say Straight up you don’t like New York, you best believe you gonna suffer some lost there.
