Common appeared on Sway’s Shade 45 radio show to promote his album The Dreamer, The Believer. Out now.

“I’m a warrior so lets go!”

Common spoke on his record “Sweet” and confirms that Drake fits the category of who the track was aimed at.

Read the full Common Sweet Lyrics here!

Seem’s like Drake is getting it at all angles right now. Pusha T also made his version of Sweet.

Do you think Drake should reply?

    I been saying that for the longer. Here’s the categories of a Drake fan.

    -Females who can’t get a man.
    -Light Skinned niggas.
    -Males who bleed out their ass. Aka MMS.
    -People who wear skinny jean and va ns while do those dumb ass dances.@MosDef,

    85% of Drake’s music is for women who can’t get or keep a man, light skinned niggas, feminine niggas who bleed out their ass having MMS symptoms, skinny jeans with bright colors wearing vans type people.

    I don’t get it first luda and now common.I have total respect for both rappers but why take shots at drake. Lil kim took shots at nicki and both jay z n fifty took shots at wayne. I mean come on just coz they killin the game right now. I’m a drake fan because the music is different to the normal stuff we get to listen to about guns violence etc. We all have feelings and drake the best rapper I’ve heard to express them. Go ahead and call me a ymcmb stan… But explain why legends are going out there way to diss people?

    @Sampz,

    Because fuckwits like you think there music is ‘the future of hip hop’ Yeh you a ymcmb Stan but you also a a pop music convert.

    @Sampz, best rapper that express there feelings??lol k.dot has alot of feelings in his music Joey does better expressing feelings than Drake does. Plenty of rappers that do a way better job kid you jus caught up with what’s “in”

    @MosDef, show me the “plenty of rappers” that show their feelings kid. not talkin about i banged this girl and she had my baby but im too busy in the streets with drugs.. hop off u mother fucker if u dont like him then dont listen to him fuckin queer bag

    [Reply]

    MosDef Reply:

    @jim, never said I didn’t like him jus stated facts that there’s plenty of rappers that show feeling but don’t come off like a bitch. Adding cuss words and acting tiff isn’t going to make u A. Win this debate B. Sound smarter lol Joey like I said does it better kanye does too k. Dot j. Cole has a few songs blu fuck common does too. Non of these guys talk about “streets fucking girls selling drugs” sooo do your hw youngin. I call u youngin cuz only a kid wouldn’t knw that there’s plenty of rappers that do it better lyrically when it comes to showing “feelings”. And now I had to make youu look stupid. So all that “hop off queer shit” proved your age

    Jonathan Reply:

    @jim, plenty of rappers express their feelings better then Drake does, if talking about how he goes to the strip club, relationships with girls nd how’s he’s feeding whole his team is expressing feelings then ok sure Drake is the master in that lol… Eminem also is a genius at expressing his feelings in music, nd I’m actually a Drake fan but he was so much better before then today, thank god for j.cole

    illadelph_meek mill Reply:

    @jim, how are you stating facts mosdef? Are you semi-educated because that sounded alot like opinion. Just listen to lord knows I think you fit into the category of who drake doesn’t make music for

    Pab Kush Reply:

    @jim, I see you on every post that includes drake, lil wayne or other members of young money. You are really passionate about arguing and trying to change a person’s opinion. You always bring age into it but what kind of “grown man” sits on KHH talking shit all the time?

    Pab Kush Reply:

    @jim, ^^^ that comment is for Mos Def not for Jim

    Sampz Reply:

    Well in my opinion drakes the best ibe heard to express feelings after eminem. Yhh I’m only a kid maybe, I’m 22 drakes 25 and one of the best rappers atm. So wtf my age got to do with it. Same generation so same way of thinking. He don’t just talk about how rich he is all the time I get the idea that he’s still a normal dude just like we all are. So if u cant respect that than I dunno what you can respect.

    And not one of use answered my question. Why are legends going at drake? I no the answer but I wanna hear your “non-stan” opinions.

    @Sampz,

    History Lesson (Yep I just referenced that)

    “25 sittin on 25 mill”

    “I guess it really is just me, myself and all my millions”

    I answered your question. Legends are going at Drake because they don’t want hip hop to turn into Drake’s music. They need to go at him to make people like yourself realise Drake’s music is not real hip hop and is not the future of hip hop.

    Sampz Reply:

    I’m sorry that quote doesn’t mean anything to me. Yh 25 sittin on 25 mil. Fairplay to him, why don’t u give him credit. If you want to look at lyrics regarding money “I’ve never really been one for the preservation of money. Nah, much rather spend it all while I’m breathing”

    Sampz Reply:

    Regarding the direction of hip hop. Luda dissed drake yet he’s the one who did a song wif justin bieber or have all of you forgot that?? Common just making himself look like he’s got something to proove which we all no he aint. What has drake got to proove? Using the same quote as above “25 sittin on 25 mil”

    RS Reply:

    @Sampz,

    Those were just two quotes off the top of my head. Drake raps about money quite a bit (like most rappers) . What so 1 song with JBeibz did credits a legend like Luda? Gtfo kid. Were talking like WHOLE ALBUMS aka Take Care.

    Im not a hater I too like some Drake songs but his new stuff..Never. If he releases a diss track it will a) Discredit his current nice guy everyone loves me persona and b) Hel get killed when they fire back

    I can’t wait for Luda to merk him after that shiy he said at the 106 power concert a few nights back.

    Honestly, at the beginning, Drake showed plenty of potential… but somewhere along the line, he got caught up in all the fame and just became another “hip pop” artist that lacks any purpose within his lyrics.

    To put it simple… He needs to Take Care of himself becasue there is STILL Room For Improvement lol.

    I’m a fan of Common, Luda, Pusha-T, and Drake. and to me it doesn’t really matter what happens between them. let them beef, i have no problem with it. just as long as they keep making cool music in their respective genre’s i’m alright with it.

    btw, Sweet, is a really fucking sick song. been replaying it over and over

    Com is always the dude who, embraces new sounds in Hip-Hop. But now he disses Drake for, doin’ what he did durin’ the era of, ‘Gangstar Rap’. His reasonings for dissin’ Drake are pointless ’cause, Wayne calls himself ‘Best rapper alive’, yet his dissin’ Drake ’cause he thinks that, his the best. To me this whole ‘beef’ Com is tryin’ to, manufacture is takin’ away from, the dope album he jus drop’d.

    @Wtf, Lol on top? The “top” belongs To Eminem. Lyrically and sales wise. 80+ mil sales and the rawest rhymes and flow proves it. So keep it between content.

    Common > Drake.

    Common is standing up for the people who love real hip hop. Not strip clubs, money, and the bitches who abused you. The sensitive stuff belongs in the R&B category. NOT hip hop.
