“Can you picture Carter V,” asked Wayne during the “A Milli (Freemix).” Back then, honestly, no, but now Lil Wayne is aiming for a 2013 release date for the 5th installment of Tha Carter series. Wayne spilled the news during an X Games live chat with fans. Weezy answered over 40 questions. Fans asked about Tha Carter V and collaborating with Eminem. Read what Wayne answered below.

Jake Knudsen (shelton,Washington): Hey weezy what is your favorite thing about xgames and when is carter 5 coming out
Weezy: X Games is a higher level of competition- I’ve been to a few other contest and this one is the best. Carter 5 will come most likely next year.

Serenityy (Slidell Lousiana): Lil Wayne, your a greattttt rapper and I love your music and your a great skater and you should do some more music with Eminem soon. Yay, thanks
Weezy: Thank you- I will.

ESPN: And here we are!!! Yo Weezy, what’s happening?
Weezy: Chillin!

Casey (norfolk va): When did you get your interest in sk8tin?
Weezy: About a year ago. Saw some footage of Alex Midler, he was about 9. He was motivational and made me want to do it myself.

Kenny Gomez (Bayonne New Jersey): What’s up Weezy! Big fan! I was just wondering what do you like most about skateboarding besides the style?

ESPN: Hey sorry everybody. Sal Masekla just brought his Mom over to meet Lil Wayne.

Serenityy (Slidell Lousiana): Lil Wayne, your a greattttt rapper and I love your music and your a great skater and you should do some more music with Eminem soon. Yay, thanks
Weezy: Thank you- I will.

Anthony Rodriguez (xgames): What is the trick you always tried to land??
Weezy: Since the day I pick up a skateboard I alway try kickflips. I got the flick I just need to land on the board.

Canice (Houston): Who is the best skater you have seen?
Weezy: Personally with my on eye would have to be Nyjah and Paul.

Robriguez G (South Carolina): Would you ever challenge Tony Hawk in skating?
Weezy: I would never challenge Tony Hawk in skating!

Branden Schwarztrauber (Osceola WI): Hey how well do u think Nyjah Huston will do with the bad knee. Also do you think that Sheckler will make podeum.
Weezy: I think Nyjah will still do well even with the knee. I still think he’ll take it. But I think Sheckler and Paul will podium.

Matt (SLC): Do you think you should start your own skate contest like what Rob Dydrek did???
Weezy: That’s the plan.

Stevo Burrito (TEXAS): Weezy can I get a shout out to Texas
Weezy: Shout out to Texas!

Hayden Crutchfield (North Carolina): How old are you?
Weezy: I’m 29.

Chris Haack (Allenton, Wisconsin): I am from Wisconsin so of course I’m a Packers fan! I heard you were too and I was wondering who your favorite Packer’s player is. I also love to skateboard, what’s your favorite trick?
Weezy: My favorite Packers player of all time is Sterling Sharpe, right now Aaron Rogers and my all time fav is of course Brett Favre. And my favorite trick is the fakie pop shov-it.

Mike Hernandez (JACKSONVILLE fl): Tunechi how about your own skating video game?
Weezy: I don’t know about video games– ha ha.

Devaun (San jose): What was the last trick that you learned?
Weezy: The last trick I learned was frontside 180s.

Daniel Schletzer (Delano, MN): Lil Wayne, you are my hero. your a great rapper and a great skater. thanks
Weezy: That’s awesome! I appreciate that!

Jake Knudsen (shelton,Washington): Hey weezy what is your favorite thing about xgames and when is carter 5 coming out
Weezy: X Games is a higher level of competition- I’ve been to a few other contest and this one is the best. Carter 5 will come most likely next year.

William (Usa): Have you ever tried mountain boarding? And your pretty good at skateboarding!
Weezy: Thanks! Never tried mountain biking but when I was younger I had a mountain bike.

Luke (Lancaster, PA): You’re a beast Weezy. Favorite sports to watch?
Weezy: Football. Favorite to watch live is basketball.

William (norcross): How many awards do you think your going to win tonight
Weezy: I don’t know- I don’t know how many I’m nominated for- I’m not even going. I came out here for the X Games.

Tyler (Milwaukee): What do you prefer: street or vert skating?
Weezy: I prefer vert more because I learned vert. But now I’m learning more street- but if I had to show off it would be vert.

Sam (Burlington NC): You think you could handle the mega ramp?
Weezy: I saw it with my own eyes and I think I can. It doesn’t look that big.

Matt (SLC): You should headline your own concert at X-Games…like Linkin Park did this year! Cause you represent skating better than anyone in the music game!
Weezy: I should- you’re right I should.

Myz (valley): What was the worst injury you got from skating?
Weezy: Broke my clavicle two months ago. The injuring is know how long it’s going to be till you skate again.

Jada Sell (Buffalo): Do you have pets?
Weezy: I do. I have 3 sharks- and that’s about it.

Brittany (KC MO): How’s the X games? They look sick, have you skated with any of the pros?
Weezy: I skated with most of these guys. This is my first X Games and it’s sick.

Brandon BIZ (HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA): Yo weezy…….any new collaborations coming up with artists you’ve never worked with before?!?! i am a producer and would love to send you a beat or 2!!!!!
Weezy: I’m sure that beat would be awesome. In the future I’m working with a whole bunch of artists.

Dee (WA State): Have you tried to get any other rappers to skate?
Weezy: No. Skating is such an individual thing, it’s not something you can talk people into.

Blalock (ky): WHO’s your favorite metal band?
Weezy: Right now I’m big into Anthrax.

Kahari Vidro (Grand Rapids, MI): Have you skated the X games course?
Weezy: No I haven’t but would love to though.

Joey Benedetto (Liverpool, NY): If you were to invent a new trick, what would u call it?
Weezy: Probably “The Weezy”.
Weezy: Weezy flip.

Robriguez G (South Carolina): Would we ever see Lil Wayne the golfer?
Weezy: Maybe- I’m into golf but I’ve never tried it.

Troy Lacerte (Dover, NH): When does your shoe come out?
Weezy: I just signed with Supra- I’m putting out Stevie Williams shoe first and mine will be next year.

Chris R (Illinois): Do you ever see yourself being a pro skater in the future if time allows?
Weezy: If time allows- you answer the question for me- it’s something I really want to do.

TShep (NC): Do you look for new up coming rappers?
Weezy: I don’t look for them- no.

Victoria Tartaglino (West Hartland, CT): When you were younger did you ever think you would become this famous?
Weezy: Nope- not at all.

Cody Farris (Alabama): Hey Lil Wayne, what did you think about the Alabama/LSU championship game this year?
Weezy: It was a good game- I wanted LSU to do it.

Logan L. (Erie,MI): When you were a kid what did you wanna be when you got older???
Weezy: A rapper.

Mike (Jacksonville): Collaboration with any Spanish artist? Who would it be? besides Romeo Santos?
Weezy: Gloria Estivan.

William (norcross): What’s the name of the new Young Money artist?
Weezy: There’s a few of them: we the future, there’s a kid name Torion, PJ Morton and others.

Dan Duprel (Colorado): Fav famous person to be around?
Weezy: I’d have to say that would be Mike Tyson.

Logan L. (Erie,MI): Did your parents ever not approve of you being a rapper?
Weezy: Yep- sure did. I had to prove to them that it was actually worth it.

Kahari Vidro (Grand Rapids, MI): Is Trukfit gonna sponsor athletes?
Weezy: Yes we are- skaters first and a lot of football and basketball players that want to support the line.

ESPN: OK X world, that’s it for Lil Wayne.

At this point Idk why these people who are anti Wayne comment on his shit!? Period it’s like what u say is going to stop him making music..?! But on a better note CV is going to be nothing short but epic! Wayne is the best in the game I’ll say that again Wayne is the best in the game! And I know someone is going to comment and try to throw the eminent card or the jay z card or even some of the new niggas in the game but in all honesty none of those peoples bodys of work, work ethic compare to Wayne’s I’m just saying what’s real he’s been doing this shit for years paid his dues! And he’s still going strong period and carter V man I’m looking forward to it..

@Chris, Both you and Sampz don’t know shit… Jay-Z and Eminem are way better than Wayne will ever be. How many classics does Wayne have? Zero. Jay-Z and Eminem take pride in the work they do and make it special which is why they both have classic albums. Lil Wayne is bubble gum rap… It’s okay to the mainstream level for a bit but then it gets bad and so they demand more.
These new guys like KRIT, Kendrick, J. Cole, Ab-Soul, etc. already have work that surpasses anything Wayne has ever made. It’s kind of disappointing too because of how long Wayne has been making music. Wayne can be your favorite artists, I don’t care about that, but you can’t say he’s the best when the work he’s done is absolute trash. People these days..

@Luminous Story, I agree 100%. Lil Wayne is the most overrated rapper in the game. Some cock riders will say: “WHAT? Are you fo’real tho? GO AND FUCK A SHEEP”. That’s true. That’s sad. I almost respect this man for his all career *Supa Hot Fire voice* but be serious, this man is waaay more than average these days. GODDAMN! Why anybody mention CHILDISH GAMBINO? This man has the brightest mind in this game and I’m not saying that he’s the best, just that he deserves, in my opinion, more respect nowadays that President Carter. Lamar Power, man: Kendrick y J. Cole. Wake up people, Drake is the only good rapper (and good singer, even tho you don’t wanna see it) in YMCMB. Fuck a cock rider and listen to TDE, Royalty, OVO and Dreamville. That’s the future being the present.

    Sampz Reply:

    @Luminous Story,

You say i dont no shit, well first thing fuck jay z. He DID take pride in his music, he DID have classics. Notice the main word being DID. When was his last decent song. Lets be frank watch the throne was a flop compared to what it should have been. His album before that was blueprint 3 the best songs on there was mainstream hits; run this town, forever young, empire state of mind and on to the next one. Eminem is the best rapper alive, there is no questioning that. Go look back at eminems last album, the only rapper featured was lil wayne. Why have you not mentioned nas seeing as you no so much about hip hop. He is better than jay z hands down, he STILL takes pride in his music. As does lil wayne. You dont have to like lil wayne , but you cannot say there is a rapper out there that works harder than him. You dont have to like YMCMB, but you cannot say they have not made and still will make such an impact on the industry. Jay z and eminem may have overall better sales than lil wayne. There is no denying that, but lil wayne is the only rapper today that can do big numbers consistently. Now your going to say record sales dont reflect good hip hop. Well if so many people are willing to buy his album and listen to him he must be doing something right. If a million people brought coca cola in a week and only 600k brought fanta. By your logic that means fanta is a better drink? Numbers dont lie!!

That was point 1. Point 2 is the fact that your saying new artists have achieved much more than lil wayne has already. Well how does that work out? Just because you prefer the artists music doesnt make them the better rapper. Your saying jay z and eminem are better than lil wayne because he has no classics. Well how many classic albums do these new artists have? How many worldwide album sales do these new rappers have? The answer is they dont. So how can you compare them to established artists. Doesnt make any sense. Im not saying kendrick lamar ab soul etc are not good, just there is nothing to make the comparison on. Everyone was hyping j cole last year, well where the hell is he now? Yh he got a second album supposedly meant to come out but i cant even remember the last decent song he did.

Once again Lil Wayne is overrated, overhyped, and I want his career to be over with.@Sampz,

    MosDef Reply:

@Sampz, This kid is a joke man hahaha All i could do is laugh. I don’t like using words like “dickrider” or “hater” cause they’re way overused! But sampz i can truly say your very close to getting their lol “works harder”?? Dude features don’t equal working harder. If he had albums that made sense and songs with meaning along with thoughtful lyrics then you can say he’s putting in work cause that takes hard work to set your mind into putting decent verses out. “working hard” and putting lame verses out there doesn’t equal hard work at all. I can name plenty of rappers ahead of wayne and that you can tell by their “verses” they’re “working harder” than wayne.

    Luminous Story Reply:

@Sampz, So what if Lil Wayne was the only feature on Em’s album… Does this make Wayne better than everyone else? No. It’s not like you expect to see Eminem having Jay-Z, Nas, Talib, and other artists always on his albums. Wayne was only in it because Eminem was in his album with ‘Drop the World’. WTT wasn’t as good as everyone thought it was but it’s a way better album than C4. The only good songs on it were the ones with the features doing the work. Wayne just made bubble gum rap for the radio.
Okay so… If Fanta sold 600k and Coke sold 1 million, by my standard Fanta would be the best drink? What the fuck, no. The drink is anyone’s choice to drink as so is the music. The thing is, music is much more complex than a drink. Lil Wayne sold almost 1 million with C4 while Section.80 sold less than 10k.. Does that make C4 better than Section.80? No. So what if Wayne sold more? That just means more people prefer to listen to that bullshit than real music like K. Dot. Music is more about sales… Unless you don’t know this at all. If you believe C4 is better than Section.80, Cats&Dogs, Undun, etc., then you really don’t appreciate Hip-Hop as a genre. It’s simple as that :/ If you don’t get it, then not my fault, but please don’t say Wayne is above these dudes making actual music than songs that are made to attract money like club bangers.
I didn’t say Nas because of the fact Chris, the guy you commented, name dropped Jay-Z and Eminem. If I were to say names like Nas, Wu-Tang, DMX, Run-DMC, Eric B. & Rakim, Dr. Dre, Pac

    Luminous Story Reply:

@Sampz, My phone accidentally fucked up and added my comment.. So,
    (Cont.)
    Pac

    Luminous Story Reply:

@Sampz, It did it again…… But anyways -.-
You get the point with all these names I’m saying. It’s kind of hard to believe an artist like Lil Wayne can do bigger numbers than half these dudes… Their music is infinitely better than Wayne’s. If Wayne sells more than Pac and Biggie, does that make Wayne the better artists? No… Never. The album sales are nice because the artist is doing something right to get the money in their bank. Wayne has to resort to club songs to make money where years ago Wayne made some nice songs with meaning but didn’t sell. Wayne obviously stuck to the formula where he’d make more money because he loved making money. Some artists actually make music to express an opinion, not all for the money. If money was the main motivator, I’m sure upcoming artists would take Wayne’s path. Today more artists are making their own path so they can stay real to their music and their fans.
The new artists today haven’t sold as much as Wayne and most won’t ever… But does that make them worse? No. Their music is better than what Lil Wayne has made. Wayne’s best work are probably the No Ceilings and Drought mixtapes. Those tapes were just freestyle tapes over other people’s beats… Look at J. Cole’s FNL or KRIT’s ReturnOf4Eva or recently Childish Gambino’s Royalty tape, all these aren’t freestyle songs but actual music that they took time to make. Wayne’s albums aren’t as good as these mixtapes when you compare original music.
I’m sorry that it wasn’t as organized as it is but it’s kind of hard with a phone and multi-tasking. I’ve answered most of your responses and now hope you can agree to it.

@Sampz, i agree. but who are all these bitches trying to judge whose the better rapper? sure you can judge for YOURself. but are you trying to make others stop listening to what THEY like and you dont? you have some serious issues, go and listen to whatever fuck you want to. dont comment here being all grown up and shit, to each their fucking own. if people like waynes music theyll buy his albums and theyll be excited about carter V. if you dont like his music then dont buy/listen to his music. no one gives a fuck about whether you think you like his music. im so sick with mosdef and royal fag fucking up almost every comment section of YMCMB posts, its like these people have no lives but to sit on the site like saddening fucks and just ait for a ymcmb post. You’re talking about ending waynes career? well how the fuck would u achieve that? by not liking/buying his music, well that wont make a fucking difference coz alot of people will buy his music. he definitely has had an effect on the music industry, what if people dont want to listen to ‘real’ music? you cant expect your judgement to be the same for the masses. to each their own.

@Luminous Story, I’ll give you a co-sign. What songs define Lil Wayne as an artist besides the bullshit songs Lollipop & A Milli. The beats were cool but Lil Wayne’s verses were pitiful.

    Amurpjy Reply:

@The Royal One, not replying to you specifically but if Wayne is so awful, why nas credited him for saving hip hop? If Wayne is so awful why people always go out there to buy is so call “shitty” album? If wayne has no meaningful or detail songs, what do you call Georgia bush? Misunderstood? Shooters? Dr.carter?. Stop letting your hate blind y’all. Dude Kendrick lamar section .80 is no where near classic. A classic is killimanti, stillimatic, blueprint, black album, marshal matters, and yes tha carter 3. Those album and some more left impact on hip hop. Love it or hate Wayne I here to stay. And yes Wayne is one of the hard working artist. What major artist drops 25+ verse a year, and that’s not including an album. No shit a few songs he going to repeat, or sag off. Just because the Internet DNt like it, DNt mean common people do. Wayne new single with big Sean killed the charts. So obviously people care about what Wayne does. And tell me what made watch the throne better than the carter iv. All i heard is two rich guys bragging call themselves the illest and etc. Wayne branch off with how to love and hate. He reflected on mirrors and still have songs for the club. People on the Internet need to realize that just because dey hate dem, DNt mean ppl do as well. Wayne 10 years from now, people will still bumb th drought 3, dedication 2, tha carter 2 nd 3. So hate all you want but dont let it blind u of his success and skill. Yes he has skills people. And srry for any error, I’m typing off iPod, and Im not just responding to you, but anyone that feel the need to click on a Wayne article just to hate and think no one cares when millions do.

I don’t hate Wayne, I just don’t see him as the best ever. He can work more, be on more songs, idc. He’s not the best ever. I don’t see up and coming rappers in the future studying Wayne’s style and lyrics to become better. They’ll study Shady, Hov, Pac, Biggie, Nas, Andre 3000, Big L, Redman. But Wayne is just overhyped. I’m not a hater. Yes he sold more records, features whatever. Wayne does kill shit once in a while. But the reason why people more hyped about Ye, Jay Z, Eminem, J Cole, Kendrick, it’s cuz there’s space in between their projects. There’s a waiting period. Anticipation. I like Wayne, I’ll listen to him. He’a not a bad rapper, he’s just mediocre. I’m beginning to feel the same with Ross and Meek and them. They’re all
Over the place with songs and you get tired of that. That’s why this whole YMCMB MMG WTB shit needs to stop. I wanna hear more originality, stop repping your click and give me a song that I’m gonna play again for the next hour. I understand your tryna make everyone big but shit stfu. Tygas album was weak, all
He had was features. There was no concept. I didn’t like it. * He was not worthy of a Nas feature* < that's my opinion.

But back to the subject. I see people looking up to Wayne for his hustle. But you gotta have spaces between your projects. That's why Drake has been really good. He's in that mode where everything he makes is gold. Take Care was a good album. But he's depressing so I don't really listen to it. Take Care was a billion times better than Thank Me later. Everyone in YMCMB MMG needs to make albums with less features and make more songs that will give you credibility as a rapper. Then I'll respect you more as an artist. Im tired of coming here for lyrics and everyone judging. Stfu it's music. Wayne isnt the best, I'll give him his credit for the hustle the music, the people he brought into the game, he paid his dues. But he isn't the best.

You kids who honestly think Wayne is better than Em or Jay need a reality check. YOu do realize it took Wayne 8 albums and like 10 mixtapes to barely get where Em got with 2 albums right? Let’s see…Jay’s had over 10 number 1 albums. How many albums had Wayne had? hmmm… 4? Get the fuck out of here with your ignorant ass’s. Wayne’s not bad. But to think he’s better than any of the greats just amaze’s me how you drew that conclusion
