News: Lil Wayne Charts 11 Songs On Hot 100
September 9, 2011 · Posted in news · 20 Comments
Like debuting at number 1 with 964,000 units sold wasn’t enough, Wayne has now “placed 11 songs total on this week’s chart, tying David Cook and Taylor Swift for the most simultaneously-charting songs by a soloist in the list’s 53-year history”. Wayne’s “Mirror” is leading the way debuting at number 16, by selling 149,000 downloads. “Only the Beatles have held more concurrent positions, having placed 14 songs on April 11, 1964”. Wayne is probably saying, “11 hot 100 songs, who better than me? Only The Beatles, nobody ahead of me”.

That’s what the eff is up! When it Wayne’s it pours! Go Weezy!
Good for him but nobody will ever consider him as a Legend. I mean unless your a dickrider lol i use to like weezys old shit but i think we can all agree there way better rappers out there. Good shit tho
@MosDef, I like you bro, you speak the truth
I think weezy deserves all it is that he’s getting because regardless of anything he does try the hardest to get where he is and has gone. But in my opinion weezy is a pop-star, he’s a figure for the culture. In no way shape or form tho is he the best rapper out there lyrically, Him and all of ymcmb (including drake,half the time). They just make good music not filled with punchlines not good lyrical wordplay and story tellin
Best rapper alive call him what u want nobody fuckin with him and album of the year goes to……..lil wayne period!
@Chris, the title is gonna go to j cole when cole world comes out
Numbers don’t lie… BUT it doesn’t mean everyone was happy with the quality of this album, I bought it cuz I wanted to support weezy thinking the songs would grow on me but no… I wish I had my money back!
@C.R., you’re right, numbers dont lie, thats why eminem is the greatest selling rapper of all time
ya’ll stay suckin lil wayne..smh..
@George, *keep
Lil Wayne is just mainstream now…that’s all that means…
As sad to say this but for all us J.Cole fans, he won’t be a better artist than Weezy.
Weezy has a certain style, delivery, & image to him that people go crazy about. J.Cole on the other hand has nothin going for him that people like about him besides being a crazy lyricist with no real billboard chart singles.
He needs something unique about for millions of people to love him like Weezy, Em, Drizzy, Yeezy, Jigga,
@Royal Swagness,
He needs to be known. he needs to have a bigger fanbase.
you can make the singles. like workout.
he is dope. he juss needs the support that he isn’t getting.
he needs to drop more things out to the public.
more daily videos about him.
Drake made it big fast because wayne supported him hard.
wayne got on tracks wiff Drake. & videos & tours.
Jay-z Did ONE song wiff j. cole… he isn’t showing off j. cole.
he is making j. cole build his own fanbase. having him do it on his own.
like a true artist should. for die hard fans.
weezy has hella fans but a lot of haters :/
@YMCMB, cant please everybody
@YMCMB, That’s pretty simple tbh, i can’t stand him, i try and try to listen to his music but i don’t get it, there’s some rappers who have great flow, some get by on lyrics , some have just a straight up good tone, and a rare few have the total package (Hov, Lupe, Em, 50, Nas T.I.) Weezy has literally 0 of these. His tone is down right disgusting sounding, his lyrics are always about fuckign women and smoking weed, rarely does he have any positive, or serious lyrics, and he looks like a low life tbh, (showing up to every award show with a t shirt and jeans is just retarded). His Flow sucks, i will admit i do like a couple of his freestyles but mainly cause of the beats, so congratz he has a good production team.
@Joe, ppl hear weezy not for moral lessons just for fun and as u say gr8 beat grt attitude on songs he is an entertainer..
@YMCMB, I can respect that for sure, but too many people don’t have your attitude, constantly rave him has the “best rapper ever” and frankly he shouldn’t be in that discussion what so ever. But entertainers have their own space in the music world and other venues as well, and i’ll never hate on Wayne for that.
