News: Bangladesh Says Swizz Beatz Is Irrelevant
Ouch. During a conversation with XXL during the All American Music Conference in NYC, Bangladesh revealed that the secret to success is staying relevant, something Swizz Beatz can’t do.
“I don’t think Swizz is relevant. I’m keeping it 100,” he said. “I think there’s a difference between relevance and musical relevance. You married a lady that’s poppin’ [Alicia Keys], you know it’ll give you a lot of relevance, but you gotta make hits. Ain’t no hits,” he explained. “Are you relevant for the craft you’re doing or the life you live as far as the decisions you make?”

@newshady, Maybe true but this is like Meek Mill saying Jay-Z isn’t relevant look at the catalogs of the two it’s no comparison Bangs biggest hits are from a guy that won’t pay him lol

Seriously??? We’re talking about Swizz Beatz now, he been pull lots of hits since the start and still is…..Alot of recent big albums from big artist does include swizzy in it…so I’m confuse about this irrevelant talk haahaha

The day Bangladesh produces most of the hits on a pop star’s album (Beyonce/BDay album which included Upgrade U, Get Me Bodied etc.) then maybe he can say something like that.
And it seems like Bang has caught this bugg thats going around in the hip-hop community where if people aint talking about you or looking out 4 a project from you, that makes you irrelevant.

I didn’t know this guy was relevant

It may be true in a sense, but Swizzy is a busy man these day, a lot more busier than Bangladesh I’m sure. Aside from lending a hand to his fine ass wife and artists like Nas, Pusha, Lil Wayne and etc, outside the music industry Swizz Beatz is the creative director of Reebok, not to mention a father to a little baby boy. He’s working on that passive income, where he doesn’t have to do a damn thing but sit back and let the checks roll in. And who cares if the tracks turn out to be a hit or not, as long as he’s getting paid for them he’s making bank at the end of the day. Bangladesh himself is becoming irrelevant, hence why he’s calling out a familiar name, a producer that’s wildly known by people that aren’t even into hip-hop. Swizz Beatz is a household name.
