News: 2 Chainz Snags 1st #1 Debut With ‘Based On A T.R.U. Story’
The official numbers rolled in this morning and 2 Chainz’ debut album, Based On A T.R.U. Story, has easily topped the Billboard charts with 147,000 units sold in its first week. 2 Chainz surpassed expectations. Earlier this week experts predicted sales at 130,000-140,000. The lead single off the album, “No Lie,” is also enjoying success as it sits atop the charts for the 2nd consecutive week. Based On A T.R.U. Story is 2 Chainz’ first solo album to top the charts. The last hip-hop debut album to debut at #1 was Mac Miller’s Blue Slide Park which sold 144,000 in its first week.
Rick Ross’ God Forgives, I Don’t slipped to #3 this week, selling 43,000, a 27% decrease from last week.
The Insane Clown Posse’s Mighty Death Pop came in at #4 selling a healthy 41,000 units.

Haha.Just a little bit of humor. Couple of my friends said “check out that new 2Chainz man it’s hot” I listened to it to shut them up and thought is was aiite more below average songs than good but I liked about 4 songs. I’m just waiting for my guy Kendrick to drop.@MosDef,

Im with Royal One, im heavy on lyical hip hop such as Nas, Jay Z, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar….BUT every now and then i enjoy listening to ghetto/fun music! Depending on my mood, hell i even blast Lil B! Its not always about being lyical!
