Kanye West Sells 496K First Week!
First week sales are in and Kanye West’s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” managed to shift 496,000 copies. This beats his previous album 808’s & Heartbreak which sold 450k first week.
Nicki Minaj came in second selling 375,000 copies of her debut album Pink Friday. This is the second-best sales week for a female hip-hop act. Lauryn Hill’s “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” is at No. 1 with 423,000 in 1998.
Lloyd Banks Hunger for More 2 managed to shift 44k and Jay-Z hits collections shifted 27k. Other notable sales numbers after the jump.
