New Music: Joey Bada$$ – Home Prod. by Chuck Strangers

September 5, 2012 · Posted in mixtapes, Music · 6 Comments

Joey Bada$$ gets it in over suave production courtesy of Chuck Strangers. The young Bada$$ pays lyrical homage to the borough of Brooklyn that bred him, and appropriately entitled the track “Home.” He forewarns his fellow Brooklynite Jay-Z:

It feels good to be home, but time’s taking too long. Somebody tell Hov I’m taking the throne.

Is that how you feel, Joey? Apparently not so much because he follows up with the disclaimer that he’s just tryna have fun. Although, there’s generally some truth to every joke, in which case…Joey, stop it.

“Home” will live on Chuck Strangers’ mixtape “Free Bass.” Take a listen to the short-n-slick track after the jump.

Agreed. And 1999 is ill. But you got some things to prove before you can make that statement in all seriousness. Definitely an awesome artist nonetheless.

@alana, knowing him I’m sure he is joking. Plus joey style will never become popular. He seems to underground IMO judging by his content in his music lol very anti government. Its dope though. Those mf doom and lord finnese type beats really go with him

@Rotterdam, definitely a dope mixtape. I highly doubt it though cause like I said his style is so different I can’t see him making a radio hit n that’s a compliment lol

You know what, I like Joey Bad Ass. He’s got a nice cold flow on the tracks. In a couple of years he could be a rap elite once he executes his plans in hip hop.
