Producer Jim Jonsin Talks About Working on Eminem’s Recovery

May 3, 2010 · Posted in interview, Videos · 4 Comments

Freddy Diaz aka “Jim Jonsin” talks about producing for Eminem’s Recovery album.

He mentioned co-writing a track for the album and what it was like to work with Em. The track could potentially be a single off the album.

This low key super producer has slowly been making hits. Jim Jonsin also produced Lil Wayne’s Lollipop, Beyonce’s Sweet Dreams, T.I’s Whatever You Like, B.o.B’s Fame and Pitbull’s Hotel Room Service.

Interesting. I didn’t know rappers had co-writers for their songs. On another note… Jim Jonsin is a really cool producer that’s rising up. I can’t wait to hear the song. Actually… I can’t wait to hear the album.

@IMprovise, “rappers” have ghost writers all the time, alot of what you hear are songs from other people that are sold to these artists just like in any genre of music.

He was mis-quoted actually. He actually says that Eminem had talked to him about some of the lyrics he was in the middle of writing; asking for advice basically on what wordings and language would be most appropriate for radio — presumably for a single, cause we all know Em doesn’t mind offending and deterring listeners as long as he’s happy and its not a radio single lol.

But yeah…. I’m sure Em wrote all but the parts of his MANY guest vocalists. He truly is back at the top of his game and he shows it on this album. Recovery seriously might be as good as The Eminem Show. Fans are going to LOVE it. lol
