After analyzing first day sales, HDD is expecting Drake’s Take Care to sell between 675,000 and 725,000 units in its 1st week. Drake will easily take the #1 spot. If the numbers hold, Take Care will be the 3rd best release of the year, only trailing Gaga’s Born This Way, and Wayne’s Carter IV. Drizzy will also be the second consecutive Jewish rapper to take the #1 spot after Mac Miller’s impressive debut.

Childish Gambino’s Camp is expected to sell an estimated 50,000 units.

Webbie’s Savage Life 3 will hit the 25,000 mark.

    I Can’t Really Compare Take & Cole World Both Great Albums.
    But Numbers Will Do Good Because Wayne Will Buy Them. Duh.

  11. wowzer on November 17th, 2011 1:14 am

    @ichyowie, you are sick just mention drake’s in saying that!Cole World was a pretty good album compared to anything that came out in 2011

  12. B.J on November 17th, 2011 1:20 am

    Take Care was a good album. those are some good numbers too. Take Care is second behind Cole World for album of the year.

  13. Geez on November 17th, 2011 10:48 am

    @B.J,
    No it’s not..

  14. B.J on November 17th, 2011 10:23 pm

  15. swaggaboylos on November 17th, 2011 1:47 am

    Drake can sell all the albums he wants. irdgaf. but ludacris put out his mixtape yesterday and made Drake look bad af. && I think childish gambino needs more recognition.

  16. Mr. Propane on November 17th, 2011 2:04 am

    Numbers do lie… for the simple fact that people don’t pay attention to the lyrical content. They focus on who gets more play on the radio.

  17. e.dialect on November 17th, 2011 2:43 am

    @Mr. Propane,
    ^ word

    to quote Immortal technique

    ” fuck the records you sold
    cuz if you go platinum, it’s got nothing to do with luck
    it just means that a million people are stupid as fuck”

    i don’t totally agree with that quote, but it sort of plays its part here imo

  18. Frankhood Brotherz on November 17th, 2011 6:25 am

    idont like Immortal
    technique ,but i like that quote ,guess i got to jam his tracks now . . ! Something relating

  19. Royal Swagness on November 17th, 2011 2:36 am

    I knew already Take Care was going to outsell Thank Me Later. It’s a better more though out album. Also 75% of his sales are women, you impress them, they’ll buy anything.

    Yes, Take Care > Carter 4, punk ass Weezy & his big daddy birdman bought 750,000 copies of that 964,000.

    Overall Take Care for me was a 8/10. A B-.

  20. LAGoon on November 17th, 2011 4:56 am

    Lmao. Okay How do you know 75% of his sales are women ? Hating ass nigga.

  21. eromero41 on November 17th, 2011 7:12 am

    @LAGoon, Seriously? maybe not 75% but easily at least 60%, he has skills but he’s not far from being the Justin Bieber of rap music. Unless that’s just me & a bunch of guys are together listening to the guy swoon over girls.

  22. messi on November 17th, 2011 9:43 am

    @eromero41, justin bieber is the justin beiber or rap

  23. RiggsDaBoiWonder on November 17th, 2011 3:59 am

    Sells don’t mean the album is good by technicality. I’m NOT saying that take care is weak. But, you gotta buy the album to see if it’s any good. Unless you bootleg it.

  24. jim on November 17th, 2011 6:35 am

    @RiggsDaBoiWonder, didnt it leak a week ago?? and all those ppl heard it and r still buying 750k copies.. good try

  25. Geez on November 17th, 2011 10:51 am

  30. Chi Simpson!!! on November 17th, 2011 8:26 pm

    @TONe, Hey if you from DOWN SOUTH then yea you still listen to webbie! He real big down south like in LOUISIANA(thats where im from), TEXAS, MISSISSIPPI, ALABAMA, and GEORGIA.! TBH he aint that bad! He put out gangsta shit and thats what we love down here!

  31. TONe on November 17th, 2011 10:33 pm

    Im from south Ga and i grew up listening to all that “gangsta shit” but theres only a certain amount of tolerance i can have to all that “cocaine” and “gansta” shit my dude. Eventually u have to grow up, my nigga J. Cole couldnt have said it any better when he said “i kno the hood raised you, but theres bigger, better things”.

  32. TOBEHONEST on November 17th, 2011 8:57 am

    it’s not about sells, good music is good music. it’s all on preference on what suits your taste. I prefer J.Coles album because he had more rap and verses and didn’t make his album into an 808s … that’s what i’m into, Drake’s album didn’t reach me because I couldn’t relate to it.

  33. messi on November 17th, 2011 9:44 am

    @TOBEHONEST, word

  34. Geez on November 17th, 2011 10:50 am

    Drake’s Album was highly relatable for niggas who actually get pussy.
    People hate on sales and YMCMB does them. Cole doesn’t even compare my nigga.
    Drake’s in 3rd place for what’s that? oh yeah. Most sales for the year.
    Looks like Drake and Wayne conquered the THRONE this year hahaha.
