Beyoncé To Perform at Super Bowl Halftime Show
First hubby Jay-Z takes over Brooklyn, and now Beyoncé is scheduled to perform at one of the biggest gigs of the year. She will reportedly headline the Super Bowl halftime show next year.
According to The Associated Press, the “Single Ladies” hitmaker will take the stage during Super Bowl XLVII at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on February 3, 2013. An official announcement is expected Wednesday.
Top superstars, such as Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Prince, and Diana Ross, have all performed at the halftime show in years before. This past year in February, Madonna, CeeLo Green, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, and M.I.A. took the stage, with an outstanding 114 million people watching.
Beyoncé has won 16 Grammy Awards throughout her career and previously sang the National Anthem at the 2004 Super Bowl in her hometown of Houston.
Possible guests for Beyoncé’s Pepsi NFL Halftime Show include Jay-Z and her fellow Destiny’s Child divas Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
This is definitely a halftime show I would not want to miss!
