50 Cent Reveals Price and Release Date For His New Headphones

January 13, 2011 · Posted in Business, interview, Videos · 9 Comments

50 cent ever the business man, covered the lastest issue of Black Enterprise magazine and took the opportunity to plug his new wireless headphones Sleek By 50.

Fifty stated that the headphones will be out in March and will retail for $350. Due to the wireless technology this is slightly pricier than the Studio Beats by Dre which currently retail $299.

All these rappers are pushing up the price of these over-ear headphones. I remember back in the day they were less than $50. Shows the value of branding and celebrity endorsements. Expect loads more “by” headphones soon.

Let me know what you think of Sleek By 50? Would you buy them?

    I would definitely cop!…I hate wired headphones. They always break because of the wire. Wireless sounds so good

    Imma stick with my beats by dre. the wireless sounds nice and all but you ALWAYS lose sounds quality when you go wireless. but they do look nice ill give 50 that.

    @Cory,
    The headphones are utilising kleer technology. They will not loose clarity. I digress, pricing them higher than the beats is a bad idea in my opinion just because so many people will just think “what’s the point in getting 50’s when I can get dres for $50 less and dre has been around longer so it’s more trustworthy”
