Yeah, Em’ said it back in the day. Some dumb ole’ track, about a girl who broke up with him. Benzino is the one who exposed all that; Eminem apologized, and that’s all anyone really wanted him to do. He also talked about it in an Encore track, Yellow Brick Road, “But I’ve heard people say they heard the tape and it ain’t that bad. But it was, I singled out a whole race and for that apologize I was wrong cause no matter what color a girl is she’s still a hoe”

Regardless, there’s one of two things up with this. One) White rappers should just be white and lame! Don’t try and be anything you’re not. Eminem did that, he never changed the individual he was, he never changed his voice to emulate anyone else. 95% of the other white rappers out there, try and kick it that way, though. Asher Roth, Pitbull, Bubba Sparxx, even Yelawolf. MGK, every now and again, but that dude is actually vaguely talented.

And Two) Hip-Hop has been around a long time. You got Run DMC working with the white folks, and they’re very nearly the Founding Fathers to the movement itself. Different races have always been a part of the mix, and I’ve always thought it’s up to the artist to keep himself or herself successful in the game. So, if a white artist feels like he is unable to be successful in the game without maintaining the white that he is, than he will probably not last long. Mac Miller’s not going anywhere, Asher Roth’s disappeared; however, Eminem has always maintained respect, because he never tried to be anyone he is not (and he can actually rap).

Besides race shouldn’t be a part of this anyways. If you’re actually talented, you stick around, if you’re not, you don’t. Doesn’t matter what color you are, the game is almost a lot like natural selection. The smart ones make it, the dumb ones don’t; and then there is Lil’ B.

“White Rappers should just be white and lame?” Now who is the racist? Kill yourselves.
