Video: Saigon Addresses Rick Ross Diss

May 28, 2012 · Posted in beef, Videos · 5 Comments

A few days ago, SOHH released an interview in which Saigon allegedly dissed Rick Ross. Saigon then went on twitter to denounce the article. Then yesterday, SOHH released the audio for the interview verifying Saigon’s initial statements in the interview. Today, while in Germany, Saigon speaks to the camera about the drama.

Once again, Saigon denies dissing Rick Ross, although there’s audio to prove it. In the video he says that it’s not about Rick Ross, but anybody that promotes the destruction of our communities. “It ain’t just Rick Ross first of all,” he says. “It ain’t even Rick Ross. Rick Ross is an artist. It’s Doug Morris, it’s Universal Records, it’s Sony Records, it’s Radio One, it’s Clear Channel.” Sai’ then continues to say, “If I got a problem with a nigga I don’t have no problem addressing that.”

Are you buying Saigon’s statements?

I agree with him wholeheartedly. It’s not just about Rick Ross, hell all of these dudes, Puff, Jay, all of those dudes are sold out. Or should I say “souled out.”

That’s where people fail to realize, these guys are being used for an agenda.

I feel you… some of these commercial rappers are garbage… I’ll support a rapper who really lived the life and rapping about his life… but like ross making up a life… not feeling it… then… these rappers only rap about 3 to four things… girls money cars and cribs… I don’t see them talking about the donated to this… or they built a new school… or started some educational programs…

“Why ya’ll supportin’ a n*gga that promotes the destruction of our community?”

Hope people wake up and stop supporting this fake rappers.
Rappers like DEE-1, KENDRICK LAMAR, J. COLE, TALIB KWELI and NAS should diss all this wack rappers that just talk about drugs, money, sex and violence.
Don’t get me wrong. You can talk about bad issues to criticize them, but this shitty rappers (Rick Ross, Birdman, Lil Wayne, etc) praise those things in their songs.
Then this songs are heard by young childrens, who then start thinking all this empty lifestyle is good because their idols talk about it, so later in their lifes they will start doing all this mess stuff (dealing with drugs, killing people, etc).
I just hope that conscious rappers end this vicious circle, but in order for this to happen, we as listeners and hip-hop fans, should start listening to rap with possitive message and stop listening and promoting bad stuff.
