New Music: Saigon – The Greatest Story Never Told Chapter 2: Bread and Circuses

November 8, 2012 · Posted in Music · 2 Comments

Saigon strategically released his sophomore album on the day that Americans casted their ballots to move their nation forward. Sai’s not shy about his support for President Barack Obama, and his campaign for Bread and Circuses was much like that of the US pres in 2008 – in light of change. As a self-proclaimed progressive hip hop artist and father of two young girls, Sai is on a quest to combat today’s hip hop conventions and bring messages heralding social change back into the genre. Killer Hip Hop caught up with him Monday night at his album release party in Brooklyn, NY to discuss the album, the state of hip hop today, and much more. Stay tuned for our exclusive interview with him, but in the meantime, stream snippets of Sai’s Bread and Circuses after the jump and cast your vote for Saigon – or if you haven’t caught on to the metaphor, cop the album – here.
