Closure Note From DJ Premier:
For all of you dumbfucks that are late or not hip to my yearly list, this is my own list of what I was bumpin’ for my enjoyment in 2011… Even though there were so fuckin’ many LPs that came out, I wish we had time to do Top 40 but fuck that… So if you don’t like my list, make your own… I ain’t mad atcha… Hate it or love it, I don’t give a fuuuuuck !!!
Note for DJ Premier for ’09
I judge my list based on dope beats, dope rhymes, scratchin’ and cutting, creativity, uniqueness, originality, and overall packaging of the product’s integrity. I don’t care if you sold a million copies, that does not make it dope. I went through more than 60 LP’s released in ’09 on major and indie labels over and over to get it as close as i possible could to being satisfied with the list so here it is along with the list.

Hows Kendrick Lamar’s Section.80 not up there?
[Reply]
Its funny how 50 cent fucked them all up with just one mixtape. Im still bumpin that shit. Section 80 should be on the list and dont get me wrong im a big the game fan but his album was just good but not the best album.
FOR ME was Common – The Dreamer, The Believer the best album .
peace from germany

Heard that, Cole World:The Sideline Story & Section.80 should have been up there Also Wale – Ambition
[Reply]
The Carter IV sucked dick. The music on best albums is actually hip hop not just rhyming a bunch of bull shit words. The only high points the C4 had were the features by Andre 3000 And Tech.
I’m not sure how it’s even possible for Tech N9ne’s All 6’s and 7’s to not be on this list. By far the best album dropped this year. Quit sleeping on him.
Also Atmosphere’s The Family Sign was incredible. Still jamming that album months later.
Kendrick should be on here as should Cole World. If Take Care made this list, then its a travesty that Cole World and Wale’s Ambition did not.

@JC, Look, another Wayne hater. The article didn’t mention anything Lil Wayne, yet you find a way to hate lol. If you hate the album why bring it up lol. Carter IV sold more than your bank account. It was a decent album tho.

@Kog, hhahaha sold more than ur bank account… thats funny… Wayne was creative with it. as a Wayne fan is kinda shitty but again thats his opinion
[Reply]
i know its his opinion but this list is wack imo
[Reply]
I don’t know why people are saying his list is wack and he should included others
This guy is a Hip-Hop vet
He’s probably my favorite producers and I consider him to be the Nas of producers
Instead of whining like a little bitch cuz you’re unfamiliar with these underground artists
Search up these albums and listen to em
If you like hip hop, you’ll love these.
Personally, I love this list
It’s much better than the usual lists with Take care, Cole World, and Watch The Throne in the Top 3

@Mr. A, finally someone that makes sense! i dont love the list but i fuck with. thought the roots and saigons should have made the top 25 as well as rashad and confidence album. But overall his list is pretty solid aside for games number 1 lol

@MosDef, hahah yeah I’d have to agree on that
The thing is he says it’s what he bumped to this year
And there are a few songs off that album which I still can’t stop listening to
So I see where he’s coming from with that

@Mr. A,
I haven’t heard of none of these dudes on the list. BUT I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU! I will look up these dudes. Everyone’s mad because they’re dude didn’t make the list. Premo is a vet, they should take his word if he think dudes are dope. Wayne, Ross, and drake and the rest of theyre “crew” can’t be the Best. Have you noticed that they have a big circle. Wayne, Ross, Birdman, Ace Hood, Khaled, Drake, Meek, the whole YMCMB MMG thing. They all on each other songs with no originality really. They don’t compete with each other and they be on each other dick.
But besides that, Imma go look up some suggestions.

@RiggsDaBoiWonder, yo man there’s good music out there that you will def enjoy. Saigons album was dopee. Evidence was dopee as well. Rashad and confidence, reks album, statik selektah is like a mini premo on the boards so his beats are really enjoyable for me. Check it out you wont be disappointed

Yh I wonder why no ones hating on the game? In the other posts too many people were saying how red album was shit how red album had too many features. Game realest rapper to do it, end of.
[Reply]
His list sucks IMO..but if that what he likes oh well
[Reply]
I fuckkk with his list. Atleast he doesn’t have all mainstream BS on it. Thought cats and dogs was sick as well as recks album. Thought rashad and confidence the element of surprise should have been up there but.oh well
[Reply]
His list isn’t that good.. No Lamar, Cole, Saigon, Jay Rock, Tech… He also goes ahead and adds in 50 Cent’s The Big Ten mixtape. If you are going to add mixtapes, I would definitely add Big K.R.I.T. with his Return of 4 Eva.. It was almost like an album. It’s his opinion but coming from a man that’s a vet in Hip-Hop and calling us dumbfucks, I’d expect a better list. The RED album isn’t the best album at all.. Fuck his list.

@MosDef, Yeah he does. I guess he wasn’t feeling those albums like I was. Still a good list but that #1 album is complete bullshit. The features outshined Game most of the time. That can’t happen on your own album. I would have liked a response as to why he picked each album in their place like KHH did tho..

@Omg Lol, yaa that’s true. Game album wouldn’t make my top ten. Yo did u hear/liked that rashad and confidence album? My opinion shit is one of the tops from the year..if u haven’t yet u should check that shit out. Not comparing them but it reminds me of that blu n exile shit

@Omg Lol, ya I feel you on that. I think I read premo didn’t put saigons album on the list cause he thought it was a 2010 album. That explains not making the list. I was shock not to see it on his list especially since saigons album had very good production from just blaze, since premo is big on production.
Wtf no J.Cole no wonder why this nigga washed up
[Reply]
Section 80 & Cole World should have made it, but I aint trippin, not my list.
[Reply]
No J.Cole? and The Game is #1, wtf is this guy deaf or stupid?

There aren’t many rappers out these days worth a shit so for him to even be able to pick 25 is pretty good in itself…and he picked legit albums for 2011.
[Reply]
if opinions were a crime this niga should be fucked in the ass till he bleeds to death..WHERE THE FUCK IS COLEWORLD? SECTION 80? fuck his opinion…
[Reply]
I’ll glad Royce Da 5’9 made someone’s list. Success is Certain to me is the slept on hip hop album of 2011.
Kendrick Lamar not making the list isn’t a shocker, I only like a couple of songs on Section 80.

and come on man. Not to be a stan or anything. But you can’t put the big ten before bad meets evil. they’re both good but I just don’t think the big ten should be that far up. It’s like he’s still ridin on it cause it just came out

Reef The Lost Cauze & Snowgoons – Your Favorite MC
