Exactly one year after the death of Chris Lighty, close friend Busta Rhymes releases a track named after the late Kris Kross rapper. The song captures a passionate Busta Rhymes rapping about the impact that Lighty had on his life and career. “Chris Lighty” also features vocals from the legendary Bob Marley. DONDA has done it again! Kanye West went on Twitter earlier today to reveal the cover art for Pusha T‘s newest album, “My Name Is My Name.” Kanye’s creative company DONDA has produced two album covers for the fellow G.O.O.D. Music rapper, both in a bold black and white. The first cover displays a barcode with the usual series of numbers, the second shows Pusha T with his head tilted back.

Big Sean has revealed the third video to come from his latest album. 10 2 10 shows us the G.O.O.D. Music MC alone in Hawaii, complete with a megaphone. Sean screams out about the pressures of staying on your grind from 10, to 10. Hall Of Fame, the newest body of work to come from the Detroit rapper, was released earlier this week.

Drake Speaks On Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” Verse

Drizzy finally gave us his thoughts on the Kendrick Lamar “Control” verse in a recent interview with Billboard magazine. Drake sounded dismissive of Kendrick’s lyrics. What do you think?

“I didn’t really have anything to say about it,” Drake says of the verse, which has so far inspired responses from A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, former Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson and too many others to count. “It just sounded like an ambitious thought to me. That’s all it was. I know good and well that Kendrick’s not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic.”
