News: G.O.O.D. Music Working On ‘Cruel Winter?’
MTV caught up with Q-Tip at last night’s BET Hip-Hop Awards and asked him about his absence on Cruel Summer. Before giving his answer, the former Tribe Called Quest front man called Pusha-T over and together they sort of let the cat out of the bag. “If there’s a Cruel Summer then there’s got to be a Cruel Winter right?,” Q-Tip replied. “That’s all I’m saying.”

BET Issues Statement Addressing Hip-Hop Award Fights
The BET Hip-Hop Awards didn’t exactly go as planned for the BET network. Violence tainted the show when a brawl between Young Jeezy and Rick Ross broke out backstage. Afterwards, Gunplay got into a fist fight with someone from 50 Cent’s crew. Earlier reports even reported gun shots being fired, but TMZ has since shot down the rumors.

The summer just ended and to coincide, Bud Light’s End Of Summer concert went down in NYC yesterday evening. JD DJ’d the event with special guest Bow Bow. The BET Hip-Hop Awards weren’t all Gunplay for 50 Cent. In a grown gesture, 50 shared the stage with old rival Fat Joe, all in honor of Chris Lighty. The BET Hip-Hop Awards held a touching tribute in honor of Chris Lighty that featured 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Q-Tip, Funk MasterFlex, Busta Rhymes, and Missy Elliott.
