You’re Killin’ Me: Lil Wayne
The NBA Finals may be over but I’m still heated over this Lil Wayne situation. I was browsing the net and found pictures of Weezy partying with Dirk and the Dallas Mavericks. Lil Wayne, the guy sitting court side on countless number of Heat games.
The same guy rockin’ a “Wade band-aid”. The same guy getting mad when Lebron, Wade, and Bosh didn’t say hi to him while he spent his cash money sitting courtside. The same guy whose “daddy” bet 2 million on the Miami Heat to win the NBA Championship. That same guy described above was partying with the Dallas Mavericks after they won the Championship.
Being a huge sports fan this bothers me. Loyalty is one of the most important qualities for a fan to have. Wayne lacks this quality making him a bandwagon-er. If you’re rooting for one team you don’t go party with the rival team after they win. You’ll never see Jack Nicholson party with the Celtics or Spike Lee pop bottles with the Bulls. It just doesn’t happen.
Weezy F has a long history of jumping on bandwagons. Remember when the Lakers won back-to-back Championships? Tune wouldn’t shut up with his Lakers; he only made an entire song dedicated to Kobe Bryant. Then, the mighty LeBron took his talents to South Beach. Now Wayne is a Heat fan. But then the Heat get stomped by the Mavs 4-2, and now Wayne forgets about “feeling like Pat Riley“. He’s now a Dallas Mavericks fan partying with Mark Cuban and Dirk Nowitzki at Club LIV in Miami. smh.
It’s time for Lil Wayne to pick a team and stick with it. What’s it going to be? Hornets? Lakers? Heat? Mavericks? Or maybe whoever is winning at the moment?
Lil’ Wayne you’re killin’ me!
