After analyzing retailers 1st day sales, HDD has come out with its 1st week sales projection for Young Jeezy’s TM 103: Hustlerz Ambition, and Common’s The Dreamer, The Believer. According to estimates, TM 103 is on pace to sell between 200,000-225,000 units, and Common’s The Dreamer, The Believer is expected to sell 55,000-65,000.

Those Common numbers look really undeserving for such a quality album. Oh well, at least Jeezy’s numbers look promising.

Jeezy always has had high sales… and Common is ignored due to the ignorance of today’s youth so his sales will more than likely NOT sky rocket.

    Lmfao at Common’s sale predictions!!!!!!!!!!
He sucks and stupid for calling out Drake, who went platinum with Take Care & Thank Me Later.

    @Laney,

just because something went platinum doesn’t mean it’s great.
    EXAMPLES:

    EMINEM – RELAPSE double platinum

LIL WAYNE – CARTER IV double platinum

    @Laney,

I would give everything that i have when im wrong but i think you one of the bigest drake groupies in the world. Common is one of the realest in hip hop. He’s smart and writes about real things in life not like drake about love and shit and im sure you even dont know common really

Great job Jeezy! My predicted was 110 k.

Common looks so wack right now 55-65 k first week. Damn Drizzy is somewhere getting the satisfaction of laughin at him from his condo.

Don’t expect Drake to respond to Common after these sales, he probably don’t think Common is revelant enough.

Drake has an excuse now to not drop a diss song & get out rapped by Common.

@Royal Swagness, Common still looks dope as hell so idk why you saying he looks wack??lol you said sales dont matter so why use that excuse to say com looks wack? makes no sense..So common should feel bad more girls arent into his music??

@MosDef, If you don’t sell records you get dropped off the label & jobless.

    MosDef Reply:

@Royal Swagness, Doubt he’ll get drop man lol hes going to be in the good music compilation and is going to drop a collab with NaS which has potential to be a classic. Case close doubt hes getting drop any time soon especially with that album he jus dropped. Look at the roots. Probably best album in 2011 and they didnt sell shit. Stop talking like these legends are going to get drop like they rookies making music.

lil wayne is wack, he has few good songs from two first carter albums. c3 and c4 are super wack, pop sh.t for teens. Drake is also wack, common is real rap artist thats why he dont sell records, like other real rap artists

All people that says drake is better then common just cause of sales are stupid one the majority of drakes sales are females cuz its all love stuff two common lyrically is way better then drake actually way better then alot of people and just like I read in one of the comments cuz the ignorance of youth he won’t do well but if you take your time to listen to common you will be amazed

People you need to realize !! Record sales matter. To a label an album is good as the number of sales it produces to the public.

If you make good music but can’t sell, labels will still drop you considering that your music isn’t good.

It’s all about good music with good sales to keep your job at that label.

@Royal Swagness, You have no idea what your talking about…lol So you mean to tell me The roots are going to get dropped?lol Common going to get dropped by warner and Good music too? Bro…just stop man. Thats ignorant talk right there. Maybe to a come up rapper it matters when it comes to record sales, that makes more sense. But to people that are up there with classics and legends naaa bro. These cats will always be droppping shit and heads will still be looking for that shit

    Royal Swagness Reply:

@MosDef, Your worry about music this music that. I’m looking at it from a executive corporate label view.

If your only selling low album sells after all the $ we spend on you putting this project together, why the fuck do we want to keep you if time after time he keeps flopping. This is Common’s 3rd album flop in a row.

Common out here self proclaiming in the song “sweet” that he’s the greatest but guess what hardly any of your fans or people believe you judging by album sales.

At your job, you can have the best personality & attendance but if your not prodactity isn’t up to par, your fired.

    [Reply]

    MosDef Reply:

@Royal Swagness, Wrong again…Your judging everyone off a mainstream level. You expect everyone to make wtt or carter numbers when clearly thats not the case at all. There a lot of artist out there not only in this genre that makes big numbers. Look at all the young money crew. Why havnt they all got dropped yet?? They suck..and dont do numbers at all. atleast from waynes view he sucks but does numbers so why dont they get dropped? Your looking at it from the view in Big numbers or your fired, when thats clearly how it doesnt work here. Nobody is going to want to get rid of common here bro. Your trying to sounds like you know how the corporate level works, but dont have facts to prove your points. Any head you ask will know common is one of the best..so im not proclaiming anything im giving you facts due to his catelog minus the UMC. And 3rd album flop?? Your telling me FF was wack? Prettty sure plp consider that one of his best albums. I mean if your going to talk all that corporate stuff at least know what your talking about. If what you said was true im pretty sure hip hop would only have jay em ye wayne drake and minaj and thats it

    Royal Swagness Reply:

@MosDef, I’m a common fan. “Finding Forever” was dope from songs like the corner, & the people, but most people my age between 12-22 don’t give a fuck about Common. There are dope artist without mainstream love Tech 9,Royce Da 5’9,Kendrick Lamar for example.

I heard you but every artist needs mainstream. How you think Pac & Big got so famous. Other radio stations besides their city played them and history was made .

Without major radio help we wouldn’t know how great or wack an artist is without advertisment & radio outlets.

Being underground is not a rapper’s dream or a record label. Selling millions of records is.

    MosDef Reply:

@Royal Swagness, I got you. But u used two bad examples package n biggy back then were rapping. Mainstream wasn’t wat it is now. So that’s a bad example. You used examples like Royce tech k.dot but tech could go mainstream but doesn’t want too and he says it himself he’s doing fine. You see guys like you mention don’t wana sell out. Not every rappers dream is to be mainstream. Selling millions of records don’t mean anything again. Sooo I’m pretty sure common will be fine. He’s a respected rapper if u ask around. So don’t give me that 12-22 don’t give a fuck about him. Jus saw him last night at the house of blues and 20s age was what there mostly was. Pac n big lived through the dope era of hiphop. Don’t compare that era with this one that has nothing to do with this.one

At the end of the day the people who don’t give people like common a chance is the Dj’s for mostly only playin punk ass Weezy, Drake, Kanye, Jay-z & Nicki calling it hip hop.

Also the radio program directors for only making a playlist of the most popular music at the time.@Royal Swagness,

    MosDef Reply:

@Royal Swagness, true that. Well it was nice discussing hip hop with you. Ehh at least you knw what u talk about for the most part unlike some of these fucks that sound like they only listen to the radio all day everyday
