I love Michael sooooooooo much! I’ve always been a huge fan since I was little, and I’m a HUGE fan now I miss him very very very very….much. I KNOW he would have been proud. He’s watching us from heaven ^_^ They are singing so strong and beautifully. It’s amazing.I love how they put that video of him rehearsing the song from the 80′s I watched that a million times. He’s sooo hot! ;D and sings soooo beautifully. When I hear him sing it, I gaze in awe because his voice is angelic and just AH-mazing!!!! <3 ^_^ He was such an amazing singer,performer,dancer,father,king,and human being on this planet.We lost an important and incredible person.He helped so much, and gave so much.He is someone to look up to.He cared so much about other people, especially kids.His songs make me cry, especially seeing this video, hearing the song too. Whenever I hear his songs like Human Nature,Stranger In Moscow,Heal The World and especially Earth Song,and this, it makes me cry and it's just so amazing what he has done.He will be loved and missed <3 I'm in the 11th grade and my teacher is also a huge fan, so we are singing "Heal The World" and "We Are The Word:Haiti version" for our chorus performance this month. We are even doing the rap part haha It's gonna be so much fun.When we performed Heal The World in school, I looked so happy and nonstop smiling onstage.The kids in my class knew I deserved a solo since they know I'm the biggest MJ fan in the school and choir ) I cried when I heard that we were singing it.I'm so proud to be up there singing it, especially that I tried out for a solo in both songs and got them Our money is going to a fundraiser for Haiti I love you Michael Jackson! Well, I just read the other comment, and it is possible that it’s the Haitian Creole, which I don’t speak well… in which case, it’s what he/she said, except there’s an accent aigu (a slanted-upward accent) over the “e” in “se.” Also, at the end, when they repeat that line, I think they say “Nou se timoun yo.”

thank u so much for doing this! especially for working on figuring out the creole, which is very different from french but so important to get correct for this song. I hope more native speakers stop by with their take on wyclef’s passionate vocals.

(google online translator says “we are the world” in haitan creole is “nou yo nan mond” but who knows. maybe wyclef will let us know himself)

seriously, huge thanks for working on this.

my only suggestion is that you note that Jamie Foxx is imitating Ray Charles in the section following TPain
(Foxx won an academy award for playing Charles in “Ray” but is getting flack for this imitation in this song, which i think is crap. Charles would have totally, completely approved & been honored; he was a big part of the original WATW in ’85 & would have been there if he could have. Go Jamie! everyone needs a sense of humor, sheesh.)

I don’t agree with this statement.
Justin Bieber has an amazing voice for a kid of his age and he’s very talented. Same with Miley Cyrus.

I think the amount that Nick Jonas got to sing was OK.

Yep your right. Ayiti is the Haitian Creole spelling for Haiti. So I put it in there to keep consistent with the rest of the Haitian Creole words.

Michael Jackson was was one of the most talented artists of all time as well as a musical genius. I think he would have been one of the first to step up and commision the re-release of “We Are The World” for the benefit of haiti. The performance by Janet Jackson singing with her brother was amazing as were all the performances by all of the other artists. I especially liked the parts when Wycleaf sang in creole. I think it gave the song a little something extra. My hats off to all who were involved in the production of “We Are The World 25″ and my heart goes out to all the victims.
