If you don’t know about Toronto based producer Sol X you have seriously been missing out on some great mixes. After dropping The 7 Day Weekend a while back, he has now remixed Twenty Eight. This is set to be featured on his latest project ‘Dark Lights‘.
This is one of my favourite mixes so far of any Weeknd record! The remix has such a great chilled vibe to it.

Song Cover: The Weeknd – Rolling Stone By Stan Carrizosa
I was browsing online yesterday and came across this cover by Stan Carrizosa. Now some notes, The Weeknd hits are simply unique however after hearing this cover Stan done justice to the song even though it was not a full on cover. He took some parts of the song and interpreted the others into his own perspective. Personally this is one of the best covers done for Rolling Stone and many other Weeknd songs !

I would love to deliver the music fans of KillerHipHop a Ty Cody remix of The Weeknd’s “Twenty Eight”. This electro/dubstep remix is one of the best you’ll find on the web.
With the recent success of Ty Cody’s “Crew Love” remix, it is only right that he releases a remix EP of The Weeknd’s Trilogy in February.

The Weeknd and Angel Haze Shortlisted For BBC Sound of 2013 Poll
The BBC just revealed the list for their “Sound Of 2013″ Poll which aims to predict which music acts will have success next year. The Weeknd and Angel Haze were both shortlisted in the prestigious poll.
The Weeknd had a storming 2012 and just announced his first major UK tour and had sell out gigs in London. Last month he released his critically acclaimed project “Trilogy” which was a combination of 3 mixtapes showcasing his talent. Also on the list was upcoming rapper Angel Haze who released the mixtapes Reservation and Classick. Expect to hear much more of her in 2013.
