SZA Speaks on Signing With TDE

September 9, 2013 · Posted in interview, up-and-coming · Comment

Its all about the newest member to the “Top Dawg Entertainment” Crew SZA who has recently made history as the first lady to the all-male Hip Hop group. The 23-year-old singer, SZA, stopped by MTV to give details on how #AKOOlSTORY developed into being adding to the TDE roster alongside Kendrick, Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul.

SZA says “They don’t treat me like the girl, like, in the best ways though,” she says. “No one tries to baby me or walk over me ’cause I’m a girl. They let me fight for what I believe in and let me be as creative as I wanna be and just give me free reign. I love that.”

And for SZA not to celebrate her new deal with “champagne and a car,” shows that the singer songwriter is ready to work toward her next big move!

While in NYC, Q decided to stop by the Funkmaster Flex Show on Hot 97 and drop some bars over E-40‘s “Function”. The boy can spit. What ya’ll think?
