Three of the most influencial people in hip hop, Eminem, Dr Dre and Jimmy Iovine graced the April 2014 edition of XXL Magazine. The article inlcludes interviews about their new venture, Beats Music, which is a new music streaming service founded by Iovine and Dre and being promoted by Eminem. Watch out for the magazine due out on March 11th.
The initial lineup for Drake’s annual OVO Fest has been announced. Along with Drake, the recently reunited Outkast will be headlining the event. This year’s Fest will take place on Sunday, August 3 and Monday, August 4 at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto. With past surprise guests of French Montana, Kanye West, Miguel, and more, one can only imagine who will join the Toronto native this year. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 21.

This is the craziest news to come out this week. It has been announced that DMX has agreed to fight Trayvon Martin’s shooter George Zimmerman in a televised “charity” boxing match. The proposed fight promoted by Damon Feldman will consist of 3 rounds and is due to take place on March 1st.
DMX has said that he will fight Zimmerman but negotiations are still taking place. Feldman called in to Hot 97 yesterday to talk about the fight. Take a listen below.
The 56th Annual Grammy awards took place last night and it was a good night for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. They scooped 4 Grammy’s for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for Thrift Shop, the Best Rap Album for The Heist and Best New Artist.
Jay-Z added another Grammy to his collection with the award for Best/Rap Sung Collaboration for Holy Grail featuring Justin Timberlake. Pharrell also did well winning Record Of The Year with Daft Punk for Get Lucky and Producer of the Year.
