Kendrick Lamar Named MTV’s Hottest MC In The Game (Top 10 List)
Kendrick Lamar took the top spot on MTV‘s annual Hottest MC In The Game list. 2 Chainz came runner up with Drake in at number 5.
K-Dot earned the #1 spot in a unanimous decision, while 2 Chainz landed in the #2 slot. While both MCs made indelible marks in the last year, it was Kendrick’s artistry and commercial appeal that helped him earn the title.

Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz to Perform at the 2012 MTV VMAs!
In just two short days, the biggest stars in the music industry will be filing into the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the first time for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.
Newly added performers are Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and VMA first-timer 2 Chainz. Rihanna is also scheduled to perform her official remix of her Talk That Talk single “Cockiness” with A$AP Rocky.
Previously announced performers are Pink, One Direction, Taylor Swift, Green Day, and Frank Ocean.
The VMAs air on MTV at 8p.m. ET/PT, with a pre-show at 7p.m.
Rick Ross Is Named MTV’s ‘Hottest MC In The Game’
The countdown is complete and MTV have revealed the Hottest MC In The Game of 2011 is Rick Ross.
Maybach Music founder Rozay had a storming year thanks to his MMG collabo Self Made Vol 1 and his mixtape Rich Forever. Drizzy came in second with Kanye West third.

Video: Billboard Magazine Inteviews Azad Right
Upcoming rapper, Azad Right, stopped by the Billboard.com offices last week to chop it up with the ex-MTV VJ Downtown, Julie Brown, regarding the success of “The Fire” video. Azad is close to blowing up within the Hip-Hop game all over the world. If you’re around downtown L.A. this Friday, Azad will be performing at Rev-Culture. It’s expected to bring in 1,000 people plus.

Ja Rule Responds To Prodigy’s Book On Alleged Robbery
Sway from MTV showed Ja Rule a excerpt from Prodigy’s controversial book where he claimed Ja was set up to be robbed by his good friend Cadillac Tah.
Ja reacted by saying that he didn’t know anything about that. The previously upbeat Ja Rule seemed to change tone and become reflective on the situation.
Nicki Minaj is the 6th Hottest MC In The Game – 1st Female To Make The List Ever!
She has had a good year so far putting in hot verses on Kanye West’s Monster, Drizzy’s Up All Night and and Trey Songs Bottoms Up.

MTV Kicks Off 2010 Hottest MC List
Jay-Z won it last year. Eminem didn’t even get a mention in the top 10.
“You screaming as I walk out that I’ll be missed, but when you spoke of people who meant the most to you, you left me off your list!”
The quote from Eminem’s 25 To Life was a direct reference to MTV’s misjudgement last year.
My guess is that Eminem will (should) win it this year with Jay-Z and Kanye following close behind. The reason I say “should” is beacuse of Forever, Airplanes Part 2, Drop The World, No Love, Spacebound & 25 To Life…
