Video: Lupe Fiasco & Guy Sebastian Perform “Battle Scars” On “The X Factor Australia”
With the release of Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 just days away, Lupe took his talents down under. He and Aussie pop star Guy Sebastian hit the stage to perform their internationally acclaimed ballad “Battle Scars” on “The X Factor Australia.” It’s hard for a lot of artists to successfully duplicate the sound of a studio version during a live performance, but these two did it effortlessly. ”Battle Scars” has topped Australian charts for 5 consecutive weeks and has garnered over 200,000 downloads. Nice work, boys.
At the end of their performance, Lupe endorses Mr. Sebastian, stating that he’s on the brink of US stardom, and Guy makes the announcement that he’s anticipating to drop his album Armageddon come October 12th. We’ll keep you posted on that, but for now hit the jump to watch the live rendition of “Battle Scars.”
