Audio: Heavy D’s 911 Call
TMZ has managed to obtain Heavy D’s 911 call. During the call, we can hear the operator asking about Heavy D’s state. One second Heavy D was breathing, next second people were rushing to the scene to perform CPR on the unconscious rapper. Heavy D died of a blood clot in his lungs possibly caused by the long flight back to LA from the Micheal Jackson memorial concert. The autopsy also revealed that Heavy D suffered from heart disease. RIP Heavy D.

Video: Usher Remembers Heavy D
Heavy D was laid to rest this Friday in Mount Vernon, New York. Funeral attendees included Jay-Z, Diddy, Rev. Al Sharpton, and Will Smith. President Obama and the 1st lady also sent their thoughts and prayers in a letter. In the video above, Usher remembers his late friend. Heavy D died on November 8th, due to complications from pneumonia.

You’re Killin’ Me: Heavy D Mourners
First of all, R.I.P. Heavy D. I guess the title is somewhat unfair, let me explain though. I hate it when people talk horrible about a person when they are alive, but completely flip the script when they die. They’re dead, you can’t hurt them anymore. You made their life miserable, now they’re dead, and you praise their accomplishments? Heavy D’s people weren’t bad, but the passing of Heavy D sparked the thought. The fans who are killin’ me are mostly Michael Jackson, and Amy Winehouse “fans”.
R.I.P Heavy D – Died Aged 44
Hip Hop legend Dwight Arrington Myers aka Heavy D has passed away today aged 44 (May 24, 1967 – November 8, 2011).
TMZ reports:
“Heavy D — real name Dwight Arrington Myers — was rushed to an L.A. hospital around noon today … and was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1 PM. He was 44 years old. We’ve learned a 911 call was placed from Heavy’s Beverly Hills home around 11:25 AM to report an unconscious male on the walkway . When help arrived, we’re told Heavy D was conscious and speaking — and was transported to a nearby hospital. He died a short time later. Cops are investigating the death — and so far, there are no obvious signs of foul play. Heavy just performed at the BET Awards in October — and appeared to be fine. ” – TMZ
