Frank Ocean’s Father Threatens To Sue Him
While it seems there are many celebrating the “Pyramids” singer’s success and achievements, including six Grammy nominations, Frank Ocean’s father is unfortunately not. He has allegedly threatened to sue his son for one million dollars.
One who normally keeps quiet on Twitter, Mr. Ocean took to the site to express his frustrations. “father wanna sue me for a million. like i owe him back child support. weak individual bought me a swiss knife at 6yrs old then dipped on me,” wrote Frank before deleting the tweet.
It is currently unsure what his father wants to sue him for, but it appears there has always been some sort of tension and frustration between the two. FO publicly addressed his father’s absence on his song “There Will Be Tears” off his 2011 album nostalgia, ULTRA.
“I got his DNA though, maybe I inherited some of his karma too,” he says.
Regarding the situation, he has received support from fellow Odd Future member, Tyler, the Creator who wrote “PLAY HIM INGLORIOUS AND TELL HIM I SAID HE’S A F WORD.”

Frank Ocean Performs at Spotify Event
After hearing about his six GRAMMY nominations, Frank Ocean graced the stage in New York City on Thursday at Spotify’s press event. Nominated in categories including Album and Record of the Year, the Odd Future member rocked a peacoat and backwards snapback as he sang his channel ORANGE single “Pyramids” for the crowd of tech execs and journalists.
In addition to the multiple GRAMMY nominations, he has been named 2012 Man of the Year by MTV’s 24-hour college network mtvU.
No video has surfaced yet, but it will be posted once available.
