Finally Artwork (1)

Since the last time we saw JoeyG., he brought out the soul in us with his music. With this new record, “Finally” (which he sampled CeCe Peniston – Finally) JoeyG. is letting people know that his time in the rap game is on arrival. Many artists and entertainers in the beginning of their career go through loneliness and struggle. JoeyG. delivers is the reality of knowing exactly where he wants to be the end of the road either if people will be there or not.

Happy Birthday JoeyG.! Shout out to Matt Bernal!

New Jersey’s hip-hop scene is very limited right now. Joe Budden & Redman are the only relevant rappers still walking around this game. As the new generation is emerging onto the scene, a Cuban by the name of Willy Gonza from the streets of North Bergen, New Jersey has been the talk of the town lately.

Video: Rick Ross ft. Jay Z – Devil Is A Lie (A Film by Ashley Smith)

Just as when your imagination fills up to its potential, there comes along a filmmaker by the name of Ashley Smith. When the record, Devil Is A Lie by Rick Ross ft. Jay Z dropped, the social sphere began throwing their remarks about devil worshiping, illuminati, and etc. That isn’t what Ashley Smith is trying to showcase. Behind every song, you develop an imagination of what the mirror image of that record could display. This film brings such a deeper meaning to what Rozay & Hovito are spittin’.

I discovered this short film, and believe it was only right to showcase it to our readers. Probably one of the best  (if you want to make it in blog terms) “fan made” videos I have seen in a minute. Priest Hov is probably my favorite! ha!

Check out Ashley Smith’s wesbite here for more videos and his rendition of Drake’s 5 a.m. in Toronto.

Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Son-Ray is the lyrical embodiment of perseverance and ambition. With running his own business in GID Radio & entertainment, Son-Ray still finds the time to rock the studio to deliver this KILLER project, Face Value EP. This 6-track EP includes great production from Black Tearz, S. Dot, P. Dot, Mo Good, Lil Miff & J. Bonez. The EP includes as well, two features by SkyZoo & Babieqirl. My favorite track has to be Nows The Movementthis instrumental filled with nothing but soul gives the audience a clear port to what Son-Ray is about.

With any man’s ego, video games are a huge part of our lives but for Freekstile it’s more than that. With the release of FreeS4, Freek was able to congregate hip-hop and video games into one. With my head boppin’, the F1DG camp made the right decision to release this as the lead single off Freekstile’s upcoming solo EP “Enter Eterna” due to be released Early 2014.

Drake‘s new artist PartyNextDoor clearly has been making noise. With that said, one of my favorite records from his new EP has to be Back From Toronto and I thank The Block Brothers for giving some true hip-hop blood into this record. This remix is clearly a heavy head-bopper. Press play above and check it out yourself!

New Music: Red McFly – I AM

Red McFly has yet to ease up on his grind. After putting in work with French Montana and co. on their respective mixtape releases, the PA. producer/emcee has been on one with his recent ”Take Flight” movement. After getting the Evil Empire to ride with him on this journey, Red sets it off with “I Am”, an ode of motivation to all hustlers and go getters that’s on that same plane of thought. This is arguably McFly’s most notable single to date and sets the bar for the rest of the “Take Flight” project.

On a beautiful night in November, KillerHipHop.com‘s DJ Eric Kidd had the wonderful and talented Gabbie Giftsz come perform at #OneNiteBash in Nevada Smith’s (L.E.S. NYC). As the crowd was settling in, the time of performance approached. Gabbie did three songs out of her collection of great music. She started off with “Yeah Hoe!”, then took the audience away with “Beg For It”. Last but not least, Gabbie performed her hit-single, “Fly As Fuck”. The audience was dancing and cheering as Miss. Giftsz glorious set was coming to an end.

Every Saturday, DJ Eric Kidd provides the platform for great artists to showcase their talent in NYC at #OneNiteBash. If interested, leave a comment below or hit him up on his twitter or instagram.
