The good folks at RealTalkNY were able to catch up with Big Sean and get him to speak about Yeezy‘s new film “Cruel Summer” and the upcoming compilation album. I wonder whose really ready for G.O.O.D. Music this summer?

With his girlfriend Kim Kardashian in attendance, Kanye West debuted his Cruel Summer film at the Cannes Film Festival. Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Big Sean, and Pusha-T also attended the premiere.
The film was shown on seven 20 foot screens inside of a white pyramid. When talking about the 7 screens Kanye said, “You’re always looking at a BlackBerry when you’re at a ball game or the theater. It’s because of the amount of information we have at once,” he explained. “Maybe one day this will be the way we watch movies.”
The Guardian explains the film below.
Made in association with the Doha Film Institute, Cruel Summer stars West’s GOOD Music protege Kid Cudi as a bloke of bad stock. Dad was a car thief – Kid’s desperate not to follow in his footsteps, so instead he walks through a sparkly purple door into the middle of the desert. Men on horseback arrest him. He’s taken to a palace full of fruit. A blind girl plucks a giant guitar string. Cudi’s wrapped in bandages. A hawk flies. In, ultra, slow, motion. Cudi resolves to cure his love of her blindness. The cure for blindness is a remix of a song by Coldplay.
Kanye West announced the title of the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation album via a press release this morning. The album will be called Cruel Summer.
A film of the same name will also accompany the album. The film will be debuted at the Cannes Film Festival on May 23rd and will provide an “immersive seven-screen experience”.
