Azealia Banks has finally released the highly anticipated video to her new single Yung Rapunxel. The track comes off of her forthcoming debut album Broke With Expensive Taste. In the video, the Harlem rapstress serves up some serious Aaliyah realness while reminding us that she is still more than just the infamous Twitter personality.

Azealia Banks stood on familiar grounds today as she used Twitter to release the teaser for her upcoming video to Yung Rapunxel. The song serves as the lead single to her first studio album, “Broke With Expensive Taste.” Seeing the Interscope artist focus on new work instead of social media beef is more than a step in the right direction. Although the teaser isn’t much more than an animated clip of the cover art, it has definitely created a roar of interest from her fans online. The full song, as well as the video directed by Jam Sutton, will drop on April 16.

Azealia Banks is very active on twitter and we all know she never holds anything back. She recently tweeted about her disgust for Dolce & Gabbana’s 2013 spring collection which debuted during the Milan Fashion Week.
The collection features images of dark skinned women resembling the “mammy” figures of the slave trade.
