July 22, 2012 · Posted in news · 3 Comments

50 Cent has added “boxing promoter” to his extensive resume as he has officially entered the boxing promotion business. SI reports that 50 Cent’s TMT (The Money Team) Promotions has been licensed as a promotion company in New York. According to the Nevada Athletic commission, TMT is in the process of applying for a license in Nevada.

TMT Promotions is expected to sign former featherweight title holder Yuri Gamboa, and Andre Dirrell.

During a conference call for the Cotto fight, Floyd Mayweather spoke about 50’s involvement in the boxing business. “I think he’s going to be involved on the promotion side,” he said. “We may even put him out there, let him fight on pay-per-view one time. So we don’t really know what the future holds, but he is getting involved with boxing.”
