Lupe Fiasco Words I Never Said Lyrics

[Skylar Grey]
It’s so loud Inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said
I can’t take back the words I never said

[Lupe Fiasco]
I really think the war on terror is a bunch of bullshit
Just a poor excuse for you to use up all your bullets
How much money does it take to really make a full clip
9/11 building 7 did they really pull it
Uhh, And a bunch of other cover ups
Your childs future was the first to go with budget cuts
If you think that hurts then, wait here comes the uppercut
The school was garbage in the first place, thats on the up and up
Keep you at the bottom but tease you with the uppercrust
You get it then they move you so you never keeping up enough
If you turn on TV all you see’s a bunch of “what the f-cks”
Dude is dating so and so blabbering bout such and such
And that aint Jersey Shore, homie thats the news
And these the same people that supposed to be telling us the truth
Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist
Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit
Thats why I aint vote for him, next one either
I’ma part of the problem, my problem is I’m peaceful
And I believe in the people.

[Skylar Grey]
It’s so loud inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said
I can’t take back the words I never said

[Lupe Fiasco - Verse 2]
Now you can say it aint our fault if we never heard it
But if we know better than we probably deserve it
Jihad is not a holy war, wheres that in the worship?
Murdering is not Islam!
And you are not observant
And you are not a muslim
Israel don’t take my side cause look how far you’ve pushed them
Walk with me into the ghetto, this where all the Kush went
Complain about the liquor store but what you drinking liquor for?
Complain about the gloom but when’d you pick a broom up?
Just listening to Pac aint gone make it stop
A rebel in your thoughts, aint gon make it halt
If you don’t become an actor you’ll never be a factor
Pills with million side effects
Take em when the pains felt
Wash them down with Diet soda!
Killin off your brain cells
Crooked banks around the World
Would gladly give a loan today
So if you ever miss payment
They can take your home away!

[Skylar Grey]
It’s so loud inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said, never said
I can’t take back the words I never said

[Lupe Fiasco - Verse 3]
I think that all the silence is worse than all the violence
Fear is such a weak emotion thats why I despise it
We scared of almost everything, afraid to even tell the truth
So scared of what you think of me, I’m scared of even telling you
Sometimes I’m like the only person I feel safe to tell it to
I’m locked inside a cell in me, I know that there’s a jail in you
Consider this your bailing out, so take a breath, inhale a few
My screams is finally getting free, my thoughts is finally yelling through

[Skylar Grey]
It’s so loud Inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said

    Lyrics update:

    It’s:
    __
Jihad is not ‘holy war’, where’s that in the worship?
    __
(he’s disputing the definition of Jihad that is currently accepted in the US). Removing the “a” and adding quotation mark is admittedly a small change, but changes the entire meaning of the verse.

    Just my 2 cents

WHY IT”S NOT SO LOUD IN LUPE FIASCO’S HEAD

In his soon to be classic, “Words I Never Said” Lupe Fiasco establishes an overwhelming organic sense of emotional release and for the aesthetic listener harvests lyrical content that is digestable without questioning because the tone is so heavily marked by its personal intimacy. The structure of the song, one could argue, lacks a unified theme, in other words, the song is a compilation of his “dislikes” and offers no meaning. But this conception is false because the looping of his “dislike” lays out the underlining theme, which is his unrestrained release of emotion, “words he never said”, and that in itself is a strong theme that merges the loops naturally. The song, regardless of today’s perception, will be deemed a classic, and what gives the song its legitimacy also robs it of its “loudness”, in the “political” sense. It is important, that the reader understand that I am analyzing the song in its “political” suggestions.

The priggish and humourless statements in the song heightens the boldness of the song, and the echoed and multiplied reverberation of the theme creates in the thought of the listener a maddening fume of anger that climbs to a zenith at the last verse when Fiasco proclaims, “My screams is finally getting free, my thoughts is finally yelling through.” The song fades and the listener is abandon in the midst of his/hers emotional peak and suddenly “it’s not so loud” and at this crossroad the listener should realize the song is silenced in its own theme.

Fiasco points out that the “Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit, Thats why I aint vote for him” and it is here that Fiasco makes his charged statement about the current administration but this charged and bold statement loses its weight when he begins to blame the other side, the Gaza people. He points out about them, “And you are not observant, And you are not a muslim” he continues to state, “Jihad is not a holy war, wheres that in the worship? Murdering is not Islam!” With the latter statement he is religiously misinformed because there are two types of Jihad; the greater Jihad which is the spiritual aspect like picking up branches from off the road, fasting, praying, giving charity, and the second and lesser Jihad which is the physical warfare that ensues after being provoked; contrary to Fiasco’s statement, both Jihads are holy. Once again, the statements about the Gaza people is bold! Just then he switches and attacks another side, “Israel don’t take my side cause look how far you’ve pushed them,” with this last verse he nullifies his earlier comment. By this point, Fiasco has basically criticized America, Palestine, and Israel and through this controls and creates an equilibrium of guilt and through this evades making the “loud” and personal statement. Blaming all sides, that is the easy way out, that is the silent way out, and there is no reason why he hasn’t said those words before anyway, because, the whole world has been saying them.

His sudden insertion of Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh as being racist seems to have been positioned to replicate Kanye West’s historical declaration that “Bush doesn’t care about black people” which by the way, I thought he should have never apologized for. But Fiasco’s attempt falls flat because both the caricature characters that he mentions are not rumored to be racist, they are known and acknowledged by the general public as racist and purely entertaining. The most memorable line, in terms of radical statement is his attack on the military complex and the depreciation of the American school system. In this opening line of the song, he seems to have understood the significance of his radical position and I think that is why he placed it first. In that opening line, not only did he poetically diagnose a mammoth of a problem, he gave a concrete resolution, which is less on the military and more on education, which symbolically is less money for violence and more money for world understanding.

Now, due to his multi-facet base foundation, Fiasco has no choice, on many levels but to blame Obama, Israel, and the Palestinians for an issue that he is angry about, because Obama fans listen to him, Israel people listen to him, and the Palestinians listen to him. Now, the song does have a strong position on 911, building-seven conspiracy and who orchestrated it ; Fiasco never confirms but slightly hints at the American government. Given that the album is released for the world audience, it is bold, it is fresh, and it will anger everyone and make everyone think, and not blame just one side, and that is the reason why the song will be deemed a classic.

How did you reach these conclusions? Are you really listening? You are so wrong on so many aspects. Stop trying to analyze and trying to sound like an intellectual. Your argument proves that you are not. If you like I could help you to over-stand and not over think it. This is not a flame of you.
