Jay-Z Death of Auto-tune Lyrics

“Only rapper to rewrite history without a pen,
No ID on the track let the story begin, begin, begin”
(chorus)

This is anti autotune, death of the ringtone, this ain’t for itunes, this ain’t for sing alongs,
this is Sinatra at the opera, bring a blonde, preferably with a fat ass who can sing a song, wrong,
this aint politcally correct, this might offend my political connects,
my raps don’t have melodies, this should make jackers wanna go and commit felonies, ahh
get your chain tooken, I may do it myself – I’m so Brooklyn.
I know we facing a recession, but the music y’all making going make it the great depression.
All y’all lack aggression put your skirt back down, grow a set man.
Yeah this just violent, this is the death of autotune, moment of silence.

(Chorus)

This ain’t a number one record, this is practically assault with a deadly weapon,
I made it just for flex and Mister CEE I want people to feel threatened
stop your bloodclot crying, the kid, the dog everybody dying, no lying,
you boys jeans too tight, you colors too bright, your voice too light
I might wear black for a year straight, I might bring back Versace shades
this ain’t for z100, Ye told me to kill y’all to keep it 1 hundred,
this is for hot 97, for Khalid we the best’n,
yeah this is just violent, this is death of autotune, moment of silence.

(Chorus)

This might need a verse from Jeezy, I might send this to the mixtape weezy,
get somebody from BMF to talk on this, give this to a blood let a crip walk on it,
50 thou to style on this, I just don’t need nobody to smile on this,
you rappers singing too much, get back to rap you t-paining too much.
I’m a multi-millionaire so how is it I’m still the hardest here,
I don’t be in the project hallway talking about how I be in the project all day
that sound stupid to me, if you a gangsta this is how you prove it to me.
Yeah just get violent, this is death of auto-tune moment of silence.

He’s talkin about all this lil PrettyRicky muhhfuccas out here, the SouljaBoys, the Crayola Kids, the GetAlong Gang niggas. . I dont kno where YOURe from, but in NyC, the latest craze in “fashion” is to wear the Brightest Colors you can find, with TIGHTazz pants (below the azzcheek) —- Then got the nerve to claim “80’s babies” when each and every one of these little fuxx were born after 1990 :-/ . … . basically, the 18&under crowd.

As far as “your voice too light”, I’ve BEEN preachin that. . Challenge: :name ONE male R&B artist/group out now that even SOUNDs like they got a pair.

HipHop, and black music in general is in a state of endangerment. .

Biggups to T-Pain, but the rest of these tag along muhhfuccas need to quit it. This AINT ComputerLove, and you AiNt Roger!!

@admin, Its not too Kanye, if you go back to kanyes older albums, even on graduation actually, Kanye can sing nomally as it is.
I guess the autotune for 808′s was just for effect, also as autotune was getting whored, it made Kanye more relevant to whats going on in the hiphop scene atm

But i do agree with Jay
Ive had enough of it it now

    @THADUDE, Autotune is completly overdone.
It was cool when T-pain was the only one doing it but now its just whored out and tacky. too many people with no talent making it big simly because of autotune.
And jay can never retire hes glued to the rap game and any real raphead know that, appriciate what hes done to the game. Jays list of achievments are way bigger than anyones atm.

I agree wit tifanny. I hav never heard 1 genre of music maintain its original state and still not fadin off. Thats why pop is ever present, coz of its ability to change and adapt to the needz and fashion of each generation. This can be seen from the adoption of synthesisers from the 80′z blues to the use of autones which comes from the new hip-hop, and yes i call it NEW HIP-HOP. As long as am concerned it came from what u claim 2 be ‘real hip hop’ and the blue print is evident. Frm the dancin to the fashion jus the subject matter is mo diverse, unlike wen in 80′s wen social awarness came with tight pants and bright colour and a whole lotta of singin(sugarhill). Then 90′s with the fallin pants and shirts(skirts if u may) and a whole louder gun boomz than 808 drumz…bt nw we hav from your lupez to jayz’s, pharrels to games etc. That is diversity and it a sign for maturity in music. Kinda reminds of the 14-15th century, the age of rennaisance, when u had michael angelo, Da vinci etc all pushin the arts. With that came disagreements which turnd out as a source of motivation…my opinion is dont hate wat u heard, bt rather appreciate art, even though its not your taste…l luvd the 80′s fun, the 90z drive and the nowz swag!!

I love how no one can spell or use correct grammer in this post. Just goes to show how music effects people even down to how they talk and type

On another note, the song is good and autotune sucks and I don’t care who he disses cause Kanye is a douche and Lil Wayne and T-Pain are just stupid, none of those guys are “Genius’s”

I love Jay Z but I think the hip/hop rap industry should be left to the free market. If auto tune is what people like and that is what is selling then its fine. When the public is tried of it then you will see a drop in the market for auto tune tracks and these artist will move on to something else. I like autotune and I do not think it is up to JZ to declare a death of it when it is still very much popular.

As far as these other little hip/ hop rappers such as Soldier Boy and others… I think it is a place for all of them. They cater to a totally different audience than JZ. All rap do not need to be hard core like the stuff JZ produces. Let the kids enjoy the Soldier Boyz of the world.
