Drake’s “Take Care” Billboard In Toronto Causes Trouble
“All I care about is money and the city that I’m from…”
Well is that so Mr. Graham? Seems like the rapper, Drake, might be in trouble with his own city over a billboard.
This past October a billboard was put up to promote his recent album “Take Care”. The billboard includes; “TORONTO” promoting his city, with the album title, date of release, Population 2,753,609 underneath, and his OVO Owl logo for his October’s Very Own brand.
According to TheStar.com, city spokesperson Francine Antonio-Forte said in an email:
“That the treatment of the word Toronto used on the billboard is very similar to the wordmark that forms part of the Toronto logo. The similarity of the wordmarks, in conjunction with other creative elements used for the billboard, may cause some confusion about the source of the information.”
As of right now they are “reviewing the matter”. I still can’t believe that this billboard has been up for 2 months and they are just noticing. They really must have nothing else to talk about these days. Take Care of yourself Drake.
