Drake Confirms Loyalty To YMCMB After Rumors
The rumors can finally be put to rest. With talk about Drake wanting to leave Young Money, he declared over the weekend that he won’t be going anywhere and will remain loyal to the record label.
During an after party for NBA All-Star Weekend, the Canadian rapper got on the mic to first wish his YMCMB boss, Birdman, a happy birthday and to then shut down reports that he would be leaving the record label for Roc Nation.
“I just want to say as I’m standing in front of you tonight, proud as a man that’s about to be with Young Money-Cash Money for another I don’t know how many albums,” he said, adding, “YMCMB for life.”
Drake’s third album for Young Money, Nothing Was the Same, is due for release this summer and features the single “Started From the Bottom.”
Watch him pledge his loyalty to YMCMB in the video below.
