Don Trip – Letter To My Son Lyrics

Don Trip – Letter To My Son. Lyrics Included below.

“Thinkin that I loved her when I shouldn’t of even liked her, but I do not regret my child, stupid bitch I just wanna see my child”

This song has been slowly gaining momentum on the internet. It’s an emotional account of a father’s struggle. This is one of the realest tracks I’ve heard in a while.

Don Trip has just been scooped up by Cool N Dre and was featured on Episode 7 of DJ Khaled’s We The Best Forever. Khaled seems keen to work with him.

The song has been out for over a year so I thought it was about time to let loose with the lyrics.

Don Trip – Letter To My Son Lyrics

Please, No pity for a G
Know I got a son that I barely get to see
I see him for an hour, after that he gotta leave,
On top of that I only get to see him once a week,
yeah, right, lucky me, well f-ck Keltra Pope and whoever disagree
I learned a valuable lesson indeed,
But I’m just tryna be the best father I can be
Apparantly I’m an unfit father, coz all I know is dope,
And all I got is dirty dollar’s
But I’m selling dope to help my family get farther
Cuz no 9 to 5 is gonna prevent us from starving
I’m sorry Jaylen, I dont get to see ya like I want to
I just want to let you know I want to
Iif the court grant me visitation then im going to,
But you’re too young to understand what were goin’ through
And your momma low down
Shes just doin everything to hurt me right now
Why? coz I dont love her like I used to
So to get back at me she know she gotta use you
And I dont know what else to do
She dont understand that this shit will bruise you too
And now I gotta take the bitch to court
So either way its a lose lose
I tried talking to the bitch, but she keeps using you as a bargaining chip
and I am not the one to be bargaining with
that just make me wanna go and put my paws on that bitch
I swear this shit aint even right bruh
I aint even got the chance to change a f-ckin diaper
This is what I get for going raw when I piped her
Thinkin that I loved her when I shouldn’t of even liked her
But I do not regret ma child
Stupid bitch I just wanna see ma child
Do watch you make but you will never make me bow
F-ck child support bitch take me to trial
Why you with this sh-t cause I aint read you no vowels?
Bitch move on, me and you aint working out
So what it matter if I moved to work out
Long as I provide and put food in his mouth
Matter of fact I’m in school right now in case the music dont work
And I can put the work down
My momma say this sh-t sure to work out
All the bullsh-t I’m going through to see my first child
See his first steps, see his first smile
Hear his first words, teach him how to count
But I guess I’ve been counted out
Seein’ as the bitch don’t want me around
When I speak to him he don’t recognise the sound
The sound of my voice so he just looks around
I know she enjoys so I suck it up and smile
But f-ck this stupid b-tch, I just wanna see my child
I just wanna see my
I just wanna see my child
Stupid bitch I hope you proud
[End]

This is raw. watched this a bunch of times.

Instead of “and all i got is 30 dollas”

it should say “and all i got is dirty dollas”

Idiot. You think all your “fans” love the lyrics cuz they are doing right? NO they just believe their own illusion. Maybe (nah guarantee) she is doin right by sayin no. Kids dont need the exposure. So they can learn to be the same>?

I love this fucken song! I yeah, I must admit there is those females that use their children to hurt the other person & all I have to say is, kids no matter how young they know what goes on, they may not fully grasp the whole concept of the situation but trust one day… one day the tables are gonna turn & you’re just gonna sit there asking yourself “why?” like a stupid ass ;D this dude dope, real shit!

If you give Respekt to balance a situation to see ya child – Nobody can reach it out to see ya child. If the Drogproblems hits ya down, that you cant respekt no more -you have to try to do a Lyrik to keep a distance to her and explain that you don’t wanna live with her, but that you wanna see ya child.
With a disrepektfull Movie you can’t keep nothing. ItZ childish. The children don’t need a good song – The children need love and adultS with an endurance on education

This song makes me want to lose my breakfast….As “Father’s Right Organizations” gain momentum, misogyny, sexism and hyper masculinity rooted in violence both verbal and physical is NOT being addressed…this rap song is actually being supported by black men all over the US AND played on the radio and hailed as brilliant. So let me understand: At one point you told this woman you loved her, you had sex with her repeatedly because it ain’t easy to get pregnant, then she gets pregnant and you don’t love her anymore, you leave her and your child, you have no job, you refuse to pay child support, you want to change a diaper (WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE IT) that you did not pay for, you want to CHOKE her and the ONLY reason she wants you to stay away from her and her child is because she wants YOU and is using the child to bargain for that (because you are sooo desirable)…lol..yeah okay. Motherhood will grow you up, expose faulty judgment and make you fight to protect yourself and your child.

There should be a response song called “Shoulda Chose a Better Father for My Son.” I appreciate that with Don Trip’s lyrics, hip hop has something it hasn’t had in a while — a song that talks about a social issue instead of the bling and the strippers and the drug dealing and the guns. I appreciate that. But on the social issue itself, I take issue with the constant referring to the mother as a bitch throughout. Was she a bitch when the father lay down with her to make a baby in the first place? And if she was, well then whose fault is it, if the father got up with fleas? People, men and women, need to put more thought into who they’re having babies with. And dudes really need to get off that no-child-support ish. Sheeit, that little measly 15 percent of pay that most courts seek barely makes a dent in putting not just food into a child’s mouth, but clothes on his back, shoes on his feet, activity fees, tuition, pampers, formula, doctor visit co-pays, rent/mortgage. REAL TALK!
