Documentary: Nicki Minaj E! Special

July 14, 2011 · Posted in documentary, Videos · 1 Comment

Documentary by E! about Nicki’s rise to fame.

Features interviews with her friends and family as well as Lil Wayne and other music industry peeps.

Provides a good insight into the making of her music. Nicki Minaj admitted that Wayne was annoyed at her for going to a show instead of recording a verse for “Bedrock”. The song was originally called “Girl you know” and had Omarion on the chorus. Omarion was later replaced by Lloyd and Lil Wayne re-recorded his verse for the song.

YMCMB President Mack Maine also spoke about recording a $500,000 video for Massive Attack which then flopped and didn’t make her album.

Watch part 2 and 3 after the jump.
