The “Champagne Papi” may have Started From The Bottom, but from the looks of it he’s gotten pretty comfortable sitting at the top of the charts. Drake went on Instagram late last night to announce his new title as “Plat Papi” after the lead single earned him yet another Platinum plaque by surpassing the mark for a over million copies sold.
As of now there is still no official release date for his latest EP, Nothing Was The Same. However, Drake was sure to drop a bar in his 2011 joint Headlines that would let us know his work was not to be rushed, “I just take my time with all this shit, I still believe in that.”
So go ahead and take your time then, Drizzy.

You may have noticed that the 55th Annual Grammy Awards went down last night. Jay-Z and Kanye West scooped 3 Grammys each and Drizzy took home best rap album. Christian rapper Lecrae also scooped a Grammy for Best Gospel Album for Gravity. Frank Ocean took to the stage at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards to perform his Channel ORANGE track ‘Forrest Gump’.
After winning his Grammy for the Best Rap Album, Drake spoke to Ryan Seacrest and announced the title of his third album… Nothing was The Same.
The Grammy awards for Hip Hop and RnB were given out earlier at the pre-show ceremony and it was good news for Jay-Z, Kanye West and Drake. It seems like you couldn’t go anywhere in 2012 without hearing “Bandz A Make Her Dance,” and with all the success the track has brought to Juicy J as a solo artist it is no surprise that the club banger has finally gone Gold. Bandz has reportedly sold over 500,000 copies. “I’m overwhelmed with the success of the single. The fact it’s something I created in a 2 bedroom apartment in DC is unimaginable.” said Juicy J.

The nominations for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards have just been announced in Nashville, Tennessee tonight.
2 Chainz, Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Nas and more have all been nominated. The awards ceremony will be broadcasted live on February 10th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
